ADAPTOR UK TO ITALY

Good adaptor that takes all UK pins. Used successfully in Chile. Only thing to be aware of is the width of the adaptor, it takes up quite a bit of space so can be difficult to plug two of them into a double plug socket. But with a bit of adjustment it was all fine.

Done the job perfectly, good quality adapter. I travelled to Venice and wanted to make sure I could charge my devices, this was perfect. Although you can just use the standard travel adapter for Europe with the two pins in Italy this is much safer is it earths your devices whereas the others don’t.

It worked well but only in 3 pin sockets. It did not work in the 2 pin sockets as Italy has 2 types of socket two and three pin. You need to take both types, and make sure the two pin plug is the thinner type. I purchased a two pin for using in Italy but the size of the pins were to large. So make sure you get the correct size pin. On the two pin socket it said that it would fit but it didn’t so will be returning it.

Took it to Italy and it works great in the correct sized outlets. But be aware that Italy has 3 different types of outlets. Two of them have 3 holes, one is for 16A use and one for 10A. This plug fits the 10A sockets. Do some research before relying solely on this adapter because your accommodation may have the EURO or 16A Italian socket only.

There seems to be (well to me at least) some confusion about what type of mains adaptor you need when in Italy. Well this is the type you need! Well made. Does not "rattle" when you shake it...not exactly a test based upon science! But since I am trusting my iPhone to it, I want to be sure that I don't have a wrecked phone. I am sure you could find something cheaper out there but will it be one you can trust?

Having been caught out previously by the three pin sockets in Italy (which won't take the standard Euro 2 pin plugs) this proved to be very useful. However, I'd advise travellers to Italy to take one of these as well as a standard Euro plug adapter as many hotel rooms seem to have a random assortment of both types.

Worked fine - however this is way to expensive for what it is! One travel tip - save your money if possible - while this fits perfect into the swiss plugs - so do standard two prongs dependent on your hotel / location! This is just a matter of luck! But as far as the product this is fine to buy as the other reviews state the cheaper one listed is not good!

The standard 3-pin UK plug and the UK thick 2-pin plug used for electric toothbrushes etc fit this. Some parts of Italy still use the old-style L plug. I think it's worthwhile to take this adaptor with you unless you know that all plugs have the EU 2-pin. I was caught out in an apartment last year: my 3-pin plugged items fitted into a EU 2-pin adaptor, but it became too cumbersome (dangerous?) to put my toothbrush plug into a UK 3-pin adaptor and then into a EU 2-pin adaptor, and I couldn't find this adaptor in the small town I was in in Italy. Very pleased to have found this adaptor.
