Great for the money, well made and easy to use
Used this to break many taper joints on my VAG suspension and it did them all without and issues - only a home mechanic but this has not let me down and is still ready to be used again after a lot of abuse whilst removing some very stubborn connections. The shape is ideal to fit into limited space and it has no issues being driven using a torque gun - if used carefully it can split the joints without damaging the boots which makes it a much better tool than a pickle fork.

Sturdy
This is fine. On big suv it worked fine

Great for a DIY mechanic
I bought this as my other ball joint splitter has a much thicker "head" and wouldn't fit into the space above a control arm ball joint. This one fits perfectly and was strong enough to release a very tight joint.

Strong and durable
This tool saved the day on my DIY job on stubborn Audi A4 front ball joints. Opened wide enough to fit and strong enough for a lot of tourque, and hammer blows ! Very cheap too compared to others.

Great for removing old bicycle cotter pins
I restore old bikes as a hobby and I'd come across a particularly tough set of cotter pins on a 1960s Triumph Trafficmaster that broke a G-clamp, laughed at penetrating oil and hammers just bounced off. I got this to try as a relatively cheap "cotter pin press". Works brilliantly - within five minutes each of the stubborn cotter pins had easily been popped out (see the photo for evidence). Can thoroughly recommend to people working on old bicycles with cottered pedals - it's great!

Don't use a hammer
I couldn't remove the track rod end with a hammer so needed to try something else. Within a minute this tool had split them apart with no damage (unlike the hammer method).

Needed a larger splitter to remove two stubborn lower ball joints on a Golf Mark V1 ConvertibleThis product did the job with ease and seems pretty sturdy and sensibly priced
