Kingston BrassBA318PB Classic Toilet Paper Holder, Polished Brass,9-1/4" Length

It took me 2 hours to install holder. Two of the dry wall holes got too big and would not tighten screws. Set screw is under the holder had to get on floor to set both those screws. Not much holding it together, a couple of set screws. Hope it stays on tight!

I was worried when ordering this because of the very in depth review about not being able to use it for larger toilet paper rolls, but decided to take the risk because I really wanted a spring/retractable holder over the pivoting kind (because I have a horrible experience with the pivoting holders dropping the roll on the floor every other use.) There verdict? I'd say this holder is near perfect. We typically buy the Kirkland Toilet Papers and they are definitely on the larger scale compared to generic brands, and while it touches the wall when reloaded, there is still wiggle room, so I have no problem using it as it still rolls just fine. Perhaps you can't just pull the end of the paper for the first few uses, but it is very easily maneuverable. Plus once you use it once or twice, it's good to go!Aesthetically, it looks and feels like very nice quality, very nice true gold, not too brassy, and not too cold yellow.

Packaged well. Generally visually good. I needed to purchase a separate better set of drywall mounting mollies that grab from behind, as opposed to the cheap inserts provided. Instructions are minimal. My one major issue was this holder would not hold a 4X full size (diameter) toilet paper roll. Needs another 3/8 inch depth to keep a full roll from rubbing/squeezing (not free rolling) against the brass plated flanges. It's the distance from the bar to the top of the round flanges, not the wall, that is important. You will not see this from the information listed. This large roll contact makes it difficult to pull off toilet paper from a new roll and the rubbing just might rub off the brass plating over time, thus my rating. I think the manufacturer should list the max diameter of the toilet roll supported to have avoided this purchasing mistake on my part. I will see if there is a smaller diameter brand TP that I can buy. JANUARY 2019 update: I found that the cheaper toilet paper comes in smaller rolls, which I use. But now, with 2 people using this bathroom, I replace the roll an extra 2 times per month. At 2 minutes per change, 12 months per year, for 10 years, assuming my time is worth minimum wage $12/hour, this product will cost me an extra $70 in time alone.
