A nice upgrade, faster and bigger, but not heavier. Better battery.
My old PaperWhite was still working, but I was tired of its glacial pace and it's frequent need for charging. I gave it to my grandson. The upgrade gave me more real estate, faster response, and the battery lasts. It is lighter, so much so that it gets away from me sometimes. When it happens, I inadvertently invoke various controls, and sometimes I find myself many pages away from where I was reading. I might prefer a different case that gives me better control of the whole device.

Love this thing
We use the kindle on a daily basis. Battery life is great, its easy to hold, great size, beautiful color, easy to use, super easy to read on and lose track of time. We can't get enough of this Kindle

My first ever Kindle device - BLOWN AWAY
I didn't know what to expect when I bought this, but oh my goodness is it fantastic! It came with free months of both the Kindle bookstore and Audible. Love all of it! The Audible feature is cool - you just need a pair of bluetooth headphones to connect to it (super easy). I put it side by side with my iPad mini and iPad Pro - I actually prefer the Kindle Paperwhite for reading books. Obviously it's the e-ink display as it is SO EASY on the eyes (especially mine that aren't 25 anymore, hahaha). Seriously though - battery life for DAYS (or I guess weeks since I haven't charged it since I got it). It came with a wireless charger I haven't even hooked up yet since the battery is so good.All in all - you hit a homerun here Amazon - keep it up!

Great gift for readers
I bought this as a gift for my wife for her anniversary. She enjoys reading and previously was using her iOS devices to read electronic books. This is just such a substantial upgrade and while it may seem having a dedicated device just to read is not necessary it really makes a big difference. The device is well-made and set up was quick and easy. Readability rather inside or outside and full sun was excellent. Its overall size is also great for travel and it is light weight. Would recommend for all avid readers.

Love my Paperwhite!
Everything about the Paperwhite is awesome. I opted for the signature for the wireless charging. 32 fb is more than you will ever need. Easy to change settings, adjust light etc. Do yourself a solid and get the remote page turner (not included) as well.

Great upgrade to my ever faithful Kindle Fire!
This is a great little unit that is perfect for travel or use at the pool! Our old Fire unit still works but is showing it's age and is not pool friendly! Love this splashproof unit that is small and easy to read in the sun

If all you're looking for is a device to read on, THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT! The backlight is CRAZY adjustable, the screen does not glare (even in the sun), it's water resistant, it's light weight, the font is adjustable, lots of storage, there's a wireless charger (sold separately), strong and long lasting battery life. The ONLY drawback I found is that it's completely black & white so, the covers are not in color.
