Wrap the velcro around if you want it tighter around the pole.

Q: How do spring stoppers adjust to fix larger pole?

The spring does not adjust to larger poles. I have one flag holder that works and 2 that the stoppers do not go on. Very disappointed. However, on the one it did fit the stoppers works well. Hope this answers your question.

The velcro holders will work just fine. The stoppers probably not. They are only large enough to fit on a garden flag pole. I only used the velcro holders on my large shepherds hooks, not the stoppers. Hope this helps!
