Elin is Back on 5* Form
If this book had a taste, it would taste of conch fritters. If it had a colour, it would be the gleaming translucent turquoise of the Caribbean at Caneel Bay. Elin has such a gift for evoking setting through visual and culinary details.I thought Rosie was the most intriguing character in the first Paradise novel, so I was delighted that we get to see how her romance with Russ developed through her diary entries. The Baker/Mick/Ayers triangle was also a suspenseful narrative, with twists and turns right up until the end.I don't understand why some readers are complaining about a cliffhanger? I'm really looking forward to the next book and am even planning a trip to St John!I still hold out hope that Elin will write about Hurricane Irma, or a fictional version. Her talent for describing scenery and weather, and for building narrative tension, would ensure that such a novel would be a phenomenal read.

Not quite paradise
I liked the characters and the concept of this series, but it was all just missing the mark a bit. Not enough excitement it was like catching up with friends, I did enjoy reading it, but it wasn’t what you want from a book, that pull to keep you from not being able to put it down

Enthralling
The first book series I have really enjoyed in a long time. It gives me the escapism I need from time to time. Elin Hilderbrand has the gift of keeping you wanting more. You feel a part of this story from the first and I could paint a picture of all the characters and St. John and in my opinion that is a gift that a lot of writers lack.

Can't put down!
This is the second book in this trilogy. I'm new to this writer but after reading the first book could not wait to start this book. Her description of the island and its characters are so descriptive that I felt I was actually there and the people my friends. As I closed the book on my kindle I opened up the third in the trilogy. If I could have given more than 5* I would have. I thank my friend in America for recommending me to this writer.

Can't wait to read the third book
The first book was recommended to me by a friend who couldn't put it down and i know why. Great story, with the characters all separately written about without losing track of the actual storyline.

Disappointing
The first book in the series was intriguing but finished abruptly. In book 2 there was virtually no plot development and appeared to be padding for a third book in the series. If i knew the author I would demand a refund.

Great story telling
Another great book from Elin Hilderbrand, I love her style of writing and find I can’t put the book down once I start one of her stories. Easy reading with lots of twists and turns to keep your attention
