Compact Corner Computer Desk and Workstation with Shelves for the Home Office Piranha Furniture Oscar PC 8s

I choose this desk over a sea of others because it suited my needs best of all. It's very spacious, has some lovely shelves and fits in the corner of my room perfectly. I spend a lot of time on my PC so I wanted a desk I could decorate with all my niknaks.One of the reasons I bought it was because of the shelf under the desk. I wanted a place to keep my computer tower off of the floor. Unfortunately my tower was a bit bigger than I expected and so I couldn't fit it under there while using the pull out keyboard tray. I decided to remove the keyboard tray entirely to make room and I think I prefer it this way. More space for my mouse on the desk too. I found the slide out tray wobbled a bit anyway.While not pressed up against the wall I found my desk to be a bit wobbly, but keeping it aligned has made it feel a lot more sturdy.It took me a few hours to put together on my own. I found the instructions to be very helpful and each piece of the desk was labelled. I struggled at screwing in a few of the screws here and there but that's more to do with my own personal strength more than anything.Despite a few flaws here and there, I adore my new desk. The over all appearance is wonderful and there is plenty of space on the actual desk for me to keep everything I need around me. It was very reasonably priced. All in all, very pleased.

Bought this just before I went away so after nagging hubby to get it put together for me, we set about last night. Checked that all pieces were there before building and I sat and supervised the construction. Hubby, who usually doesn't have much patience for these kinds of jobs, managed really well and with little cursing. I would say it took us around one hour to build but that was moving furniture out so this could be put in place so probably would only take one person around 45 mins to construct. Instructions easy to follow, pieces were all labelled which made it so much easier and now it has pride of place in my room with computer sat on it. However, I haven't used the pull out and just popped the keyboard in front of the computer screen as I have one of those large computers which doesn't have a tower (everything contained). The bottom shelf has my printer on it and top shelves have files and storage boxes. Think I am gonna put some jazzy string lights round it as I'm a bit of a girly girl.

Nice and quick delivery, that's the first bonus. No damage to the parts inside and nothing missing, always a plus. Clear and easy to follow instructions and all parts fully labelled, along with a bag of spares too (didn't need to open that though. There was even a screwdriver provided. The build itself was straightforward, everything fit, the holes were correctly aligned. The actual desk itself is great, just what I needed. The sides sit flush against the walls, even with the sorting board, so handy for saving space.Being tall most deals are too short for me, but desk raisers sorted that for me. Plenty of space on the desk for computer, 32" monitor, printer, speakers (5.1 surround system with a large sub) and a sky box - without looking too cluttered or having anything overhanging.The keyboard tray feels sturdy and doesn't move easily when in use. There isn't a great deal of space for a mouse next to the keyboard, which I knew going in to it. The space will be fine for office use, but for gaming you'll have to come up with a comfortable alternative like I did.This desk replaced one that I've been customising for about 30 years, so it had to be quite exact for my needs. It satisfied them very well.

really disappointed as this looks great once built. only thing, well two, firstly the instructions are terrible as they tell you to build the desk and its five foot tall almost THEN turn upside down to put on bottom shelf and feet, erm no I don't think so! secondly the wrong screws were supplied so I had to do a makeshift job which is a shame as the white wood on the desk isn't cheap plain MDF its white smooth sturdy wood (you can even see the grain) and it looks great up but with all the hassle it took over six hours to build with two working on it. I wouldn't recommend

The desk arrived promptly and required only moderate effort to assemble - I would recommend two people to do the job. (A welcome feature was a bag containing extra fixings should any be mislaid.) The finished item looks stylish and has proved to be very practical. It easily accommodates my scanner, printer, speakers and 21" all-in-one computer with space left over for accessories like spare ink cartridges and paper. That it does so and yet has only a small footprint in the corner of the room is a tribute to its good design.

Terrible quality. Serious quality control issues. It was like I'd bought a very used second hand desk.

was upgrading my tiny office space and this was brought for me as a christmas gift... it took my son in law 1 hour to put it together... but then he is the flat pack king.. but even he was impressed with how easy everything lined up and fitted together.. it is sturdy, and surprisingly spacious.holds all of my junk as well as the necessary computer dodahs...wires are nicely hidden but easy access, it ticks all my boxes.. very happy and would recommend to anyone.

Arrived well ahead of expected delivery date so very pleased with that. The unit is well made and very sturdy. The instructions can look a but daunting but actually relatively easy to assemble as the parts are all numbered according to progressive assembly and all the screws/bolts also labelled so hard to go wrong. For me a perfect size to fit in the corner of my small room and I like the desk space to spread out my work. Storage space is quite good when you consider you have the two shelves above and the large shelf below to store Printer / Shredder, etc. The large sliding drawer is an excellent size for keyboard, mouse, mat, etc. Overall, happy with the unit. DAMAGE: Unfortunately one of the Part No: 10 shelves was damaged but I couldn’t be bothered trying to send the unit back.....unfortunate as almost perfect!! Hence 4 stars.
