Well worth the money.
Super warm. Warer resistant for sure. Looks just as shown in the pictures and sizing is pretty spot on. Most reviews around my hieght purchased mediums for the same weight bracket 150 lbs. I bought a large. Im 5'9" @ 150 lbs. I like a slightly loose fit to my coats and this didn't disappoint. Length puts it just below my belt line. Shoulders have a little extra room, but not too much. Sleeves don't have fleece lining, but they are lined well and keep your arms warm wearing nothing more than a t-shirt under it. Sleeve length is great as well. Not short, not long. Hood is fleece lined. Left handed zipper. Its an amazing buy for anyone looking for a nice, warm, and comfortable winter coat. Don't hesitate to buy if you need an inexpensive coat without losing visual appearance. Sizing is pretty on point.

Great jacket
Bought this jacket for a climb up to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro. It was actually overkill for the -27°f. Good fit, good thermal insulation, and the zipp off hood was great. A little bulky in the pack but worth it.

Surprisingly nice, comfortable, warm, affordable coat!
The weather here in Spokane is mostly not too cold -- I can get along with two or three heavy "logger" type shirt most of the time. But there are days when it's pretty cold, and the wind is blowing, and I'd have to get out a variety of accessories (scarf, balaclava, etc.) (I walk several miles outside every day). This coat works *fine*. Very comfortable lining, handy pockets to stick your hands into, and a neat little pocket on the upper chest for holding my handheld 2 meter radio (*). And if I just need to get out to the mailbox and back, I can grab this coat without having to suit up. But if I knew I was going to be out in the cold and wind all day, I would *definitely* wear this coat.Frankly I'd have paid double for a coat as nice as this one turned out to be.(*) this is an amateur radio thing

Good quality but lacking breathing zippers so limited to colder days
I'm impressed with the workmanship of this Winter ski parka. The fit is good, it is warm and somewhat breathable for cold days. The hood is warm and comfortable but a bit too big for active use where you need good peripheral vision. The quality of the stitching and materials are close to much more expensive name-brand parkas like Descent. The difference is a lack of breathability features like armpit zippers and metal breathing holes that would make it excel as activewear. As it is made it is slightly breathable but does tend to overheat when you go indoors. That said, if you need an inexpensive, well-made winter coat and are okay with some limitations then it is a great value.

Great value for the price
I'm 5'8', 215lbs. From the size chart I am right in between L/XL so I bought the XL just to be sure. It fits great in the shoulders and arm length. I thought it was about one or two inches too long but I tried on a lot of ski/snowboard jackets at a local store and they all seem this way. It also leaves a couple inches in the waist but I believe it's to accommodate ski pants as well. I was wearing business attire and I only needed it for a work trip to the New England area for a couple weeks during January. The jacket kept me warm and dry with temps from 0-45 degrees. One day it was low to mid 50's with the sun shining and that's when I noticed it got a little too warm due to the insulation, but walking around outside with it unzipped was comfortable. I did not use the hood at all for my trip as it was for work, not for play. However, I did have one day off due to a flight delay that allowed me to go in the snow for some driveway clearing, sledding and snowmobiling at my sister's house.Cleaning guide states machine wash is allowed but DO NOT put in dryer. I used the gentlest cycle and hung it out on my porch in the Texas sun to dry and had no problems with fraying, loose threads, or other quality like others have stated. I've worn it four other days since I've returned from my trip and it's holding up well.I think this a great value as I live in South Texas where temperatures rarely dip below mid-40's a few days a year. So I figure I'll wear this jacket maybe 10-15 days a year. I went to a couple local ski/sporting goods and department stores and most parkas of this build type had starting prices of at least $250 and went up quickly from there. I can afford two or three of these for the cost of one name brand jacket. My travel was last minute but if I had more forethought I should have ordered a Large and X-Large and then decided. Since I got the XL and wore it I had to keep it. If you're near my size, give it a try.

Fits good feels good.
This jacket is amazing, remember that jacket that you used to own and you loved it so well; well, this is one of those jackets you don't wear it; it wears you.it fits great; when you order it, there is a size chart and a measuring chart for the adequate size you need. There is an inner fleece lining which is very warm and comfortable it also has a detachable hood also with fleece lining it contains an inner zip pocket and an outer zip pocket and two side pockets which is very easy to access you cannot go wrong for the price there is a similar one at Kohl's and TJ Maxx but they are not as handsome and doesn't contain as many features as this one . What they are asking is $180 and $160 for a lesser style coat

Great Coat really warm
We live in the south but are not very experienced with snowy weather. We are going to visit family in Norway in a few months and needed some coats that were attractive but functional and would actually keep us warm. My husband really likes this coat and is looking forward to using it in the mountains in Norway.

Beautiful coat!
Bought this for my son - perfect fit, nice and warm, and it looks great. He didn't have the opportunity to wear it much before it was too warm, but so far, so good.

Really good
Really warm and looks great too. Sizing is a bit confusing.. it says that US medium is equal to Extra large, but if you want medium order medium..Very happy with the jacket.

Great jacket - super warm
There are some pretty expensive jackets out there. Even during boxing week, I saw jackets for well over $100 at the mall, and they didn't look that great. This jacket his the spot. If you're looking for a solid warm jacket, this is it. I've read reviews about bad zippers, and though I've only had this jacket for a month, I haven't noticed any issues. I'm 5'10" 185 lbs average build, and the L fits just a tad on the big side. I've gotten used to it, and actually don't notice when I'm out and walking about. Just when I sit down, and the jacket rises up and covers my mouth - but I suppose that's normal? My only critique involves the hood. When I close it in the front with the Velcro, it's rather close to my mouth - actually rubbing my lips and chin. I appreciate the fact that it covers my face and all in the cold, but it's not comfortable. What would be great is if the fleece lining of the hood actually went all the way to the end of the hood where it's fastened so even if it rubs against your mouth/chin, it's soft. The same thing I would say for the top of the jacket zipper. When it gets windy, I haunch over and duck my head down so the lower part of my face is hidden by the jacket. how great it would be if this part was fleece lined too. Lastly, even with the hood fastened, there is a small space between the hood and the jacket that wind can still pierce through. How great it would be if the jacket was designed to eliminate this space when the hood is done up.

Warm, Comfortable, Practical, and an Overall Great Buy
Purchased yesterday, received today, wore it outside between 5 and 9pm. Looks better than advertised, warm and soft interior with a great layer of wind protection.I'm in Montreal so we get a lot of cold, humid, winds (especially where I live in Nuns Island) and I'm confident this jacket will serve me and any other North American with cold winters well.I don't like to buy clothes online, especially where and when size matters but this fits perfectly. Made a little big but not sloppy lookingI'm 5'7 and 162lbs (as of today) and no complaints at all for the small size
