It works as stated even on the small fruit flies and it definitely gives that satisfying crackle when you hit the target. Pretty sturdy and easy to use. Just two AA batteries and you’re gtg. It’s got the outer safety screen but little fingers could definitely make it through. Keep away from small kids but it’s great.

This thing is amazing!!! It definitely works. I was worried since it was the cheapest option on here, but it works perfectly, kills those big fat flies and little flies alike. It's very powerful. It has a button on the handle that you hold down to activate (right handed or left handed doesn't matter and it's in a good spot for thumb) so it's not always on which makes it safe. I'd still be careful around kids though, I haven't touched it myself but it seems like a pretty strong zap.You have to sneak up on the flies before you take a swing, they're pretty evasive and they can feel the air pressure change as you bear down upon them. But with practice you will be an expert fly zapper. The annoying thing is finding where their dead bodies land. Sometimes they get stuck in the mesh so you have to clean them out. Be prepared for a faint to stong scent if burnt bug.

Highly recommended!UpdateAt 4PM after they refuse to leave, I found one fly on top of the racquet. I assume he was doing reverse engineering because when I tried to use it on 4 of them, it didn't work. Somehow they were safe. I though it was damaged, but they learn a new technique to avoid being zapped. But I had to change the angle of the swing. And game over for 2 of them. 2 are still at large.

I have used this product for two weeks. My problem is very small moths. I have very happy I bought this product. It is like a light weight tennis racket with a short handle. It is easy to use and sturdy. The face is large and moths have a hard time flying around it. Very effective. I recommend this product. I also like the fact that is runs on two AA Alkaline batteries. One less worry about sudden fires in the house. I have used it more than two dozen times and I'm winning the war.

Works very well batteries not included, but zaps the bugs as it should. I haven't got any bees, but have gotten some small bugs.

Difficult to write this review as I had purchased this product a few years ago and it worked great. Killed flies on contact. Finally broke after I had some aggressive swinging and colliding with the countertops.Ordered a new one and it is just not the same. I will hit a fly and see the spark, but then the fly just gets back up and flies off.Some flies I have to shock 3-4 times before they go down.I may have received a defective unit.

Got it for my mother-in-law as she likes to sit outside but hates bugs and bug spray. She is having the time of her life, zapping pests right and left! Highly recommend!
