RIIEYOCA - Short Cat5e Ethernet Patch Cable (8 Pack)
If you are like me and have several network switches, wireless mesh nodes and NVRâs all located in very close proximity to each other or stacked up, then short patch cables such as these ones from RIIEYOCA are ideal for connecting them all together. The small length of cable helps to keep everything neat and tight. The cables included in this pack are around 30cm in length and are Cat5E standard, so can support data transmission of up to 1Gbps. On either end of the cables you have a moulded cable stress relief and a built in anti-snag cover to help prevent the connectors from getting snagged on other cables when you need to remove them.***** In The Box *****8 x 30cm Cat5E Patch Cables***** Conclusion *****So far I have used a couple of these patch cables to connect 2 x Gigabit network hubs together and to connect one of my CCTV NVRâs to a switch and have been pretty pleased with them.I havenât physically tested the network speed, but the Gigabit indicator LEDâs on all of the connected ports have lit up.I like the integrated anti-snag boots, as this makes it a lot nicer when pulling cables (not that a very short cable takes too much pulling through other cables). My cable tester showed that all of the cables in my pack are terminated correctly.I think the ÂŁ13.99 asking price is fairly reasonable for a pack of 8 cables, although if you shop around you could pick up a pack of higher spec Cat6 or 7 cables that offer better shielding for very little extra money.

Useful short patch cables
Sometimes you need a short Ethernet cable - usually when cabling up a wiring cabinet or similar, or just connecting something like a NAS drive to a router when the two are right next to each other. These are perfect for the job - 8 cables a foot long, in 4 different colours to aid in identification. Quality looks fine, but bear in mind they are only Cat 5e, so not for the fastest connections. But nothing to fault otherwise.
