Another hit from Orchard
My little 20 month old Grandson loves Orchard toys. He has various Orchard flashcards and now. more recently, the Old MacDonald Lotto Game. Orchard certainly know how to grab a kid's attention. The cards and boards are strong, attractive and colourful and the cards just ask to be held by little hands! We certainly have had our money's worth considering the times he has played with them. The Old MacDonald's Lotto game is another hit. It's cards are smaller that the Orchard flashcards but are still unbendable and very attractive. The game in itself is educational and fun to play.It is 5 stars across the board for me!

Educational lotto game
Bought for granddaughter aged 2, loves to play with it, she’s a bit too young for the memory game , so this will last her for ages so she can play it properly as she gets older

Excellent first game.
Bought Old MacDonald Lotto for my 2 year old(just)grandson,as it's one of the few games suitable for a child that young. Players each have a board, with six pictures of animals or farm implements, and a picture of a farmer. Cards are placed face down in the centre, and players take turns to pick up a card. If it matches one of the pictures on their board they make the noise asociated with the animal, or do the action associated with the implement and place it on their board. When they have all six pictures thay have to find their farmer. It has been a great success. He immediately understood the concept of matching the pictures on the cards to those on the boards, and even managed to take turns -with a few hiccups! But it would still be fun if, for a start, you just encouraged the child to match the pictures and make the animal sounds or actions associated with them, before moving on to the actual game.Educationally, it's teaching vocabulary, the concepts of same and different, and the social skills of taking turns and coping with disappointment when they don't find a 'match'.I can see that it will be used a lot over the next few years
