This power jack was easy to installed, once the bottom cover and hinges were disassembled. It functions as expected after reassembly. The Durability of this part will be determined by the individual user who owns the laptop. I replace these parts frequently and I can always tell who is rough on their equipment. Value for the money is great at the part is the cheapest portion of the repair bill.

I have bought these multiple times, they are easy to instal and work as long as the oem did when the computer was new. I bought a small screwdriver set and keep one as a spare. Its annoying but it only takes about 20 min to fix, and for the price you cant complain. Easy fix to no charge problem! Just get it with a screwdriver kit and you are done!

Fixed my 7 year old sons Dell Inspiron 3582 touchscreen laptop which he uses for school and for entertainment after so its used daily and well he is 7 so its treated kinda roughly being dropped several times over the last couple years. The laptop was no longer powering on nor the led light next to the charging port. After testing the charger with a volt meter it was outputting the proper DC voltage so took the disc drive and back cover off the laptop expecting to do some soldering on the port. Nope plug and play charging port which made this DIY repair very easy and quick as long as you are handy enough to use a screwdriver to remove about 10 Philips screws and have a little patience along the way removing the plastic back cover. Be sure to disconnect the battery’s plug inside once the cover is off to avoid dropping screws and shorting anything out on the motherboard. Removed the old charge port under the hinge and tested it to confirm faulty, no output. The replacement part was identical 100% down to the sticker and labeling on it so this is the original equipment Dell used and for about $6 shipped makes me a happy man. My son is happy too his laptop is working again, daddy is the hero, and the whole job took less than a half hour taking my sweet time and working cautiously. (Was gonna upgrade RAM while I was in there but it was already maxed out). Overall very happy with the product and fasttt Prime shipping! Bravo Amazon!

Perfect fit, works

This replacement was exactly what was needed to get my Dell Inspiron 3583 charger back to like-new. The charger jack had gotten so worn the adapter plug constantly needed to be wiggled to get the laptop to charge. This was so easy to replace and now the charger works great!
