Q: Are these the heavier, warmer socks? Got enough of the thinner ones.

In my opinion I like the heavier 82% cotton socks as opposed to the 74%. More durable and longer lasting. You have to read the details to find the material content.

Q: How tight are these? I have thick calves and some socks I can’t even put on because they are too tight

I find them tighter than I like. I have to stretch them out with my hands before putting them on. My calves are 12.5" around where the top of the socks are. That's about 10" above the floor in sock feet. I'll try some other brand next time.

Q: What is the difference between Ultra Tec and not in the brand and style?

Hello. The brand is Gold Toe. The style is an Over the Calf Athletic Sock, Style Number 2187H-064. Ultra Tec refers to the contents the socks are constructed of – soft, comfortable combed cotton and Delcron Hydro tec fibers for moisture control. Full fiber contents are 77% Cotton, 13% Nylon, 9% UltraSpun® Polyester, 1% Spandex. We hope this information helps. Thank you!

Q: I'm a body builder and I have large calfs (23 1/4 inches). Will these socks fit over my calfs??

My husband's calves are 15" and the socks are tight on him, so they definitely wouldn't be comfortable on someone with muscular calves. They are really nice socks and truly are, over the calf.
