I think most people bought this because they believe it means that two devices can use a single socket on a modem...That's not how this works. It is NOT a cheap substitute for a router or switch.I don't understand why they are sold singly as you need two to make it work properly. I guess if you lose one, being able to buy a single is helpful.The purpose of these devices is to connect two devices to a single network socket in a wall plate and then allow the two signals at the patch panel end to remain separate when they are connected separately to the switch or router in the comms cabinet.If you don't have fixed network sockets or a comms cabinet with a patch panel and network switch, then don't buy this item.I have used these successfully at home and at work. Unless it is a high end specialist network connection or a combination of voice and data over the same cable, most network cables only use 4 of the eight wires inside the cable.These splitters allow two devices to share a single cable by dividing the single 8 wire cable into twin 4 wire cables.At the other end of the cable, the second splitter keeps the two devices separate so they can be plugged into a router or switch.It is less expensive than getting a company to come in and re-cable your network to provide extra network sockets.

This is probably the worst item I've ever bought from Amazon.It didn't split the signal - only one of the ports worked, so it is effectively a very bulky, very short Ethernet extender.I don't know if it was just my item that was at fault, but it seems other reviewers have had the same problem. I really suggest you spend more money on a reliable splitter from a reputable company.

Now I can use both my old computer and the newer one alongside each other without having to change cables, really convenient.

One of the port does not work.As there is no return service available, I have wasted my money on useless item.

Did the job perfectly, two of these allowed me to split one cable providing gigabit speeds to 2 x100 megabit connections. I used one connection for a smart TV and the other for a PC in a bedroom with no issues.

Product doesn't work. Checked online and many websites say these shouldn't be sold as they will only have one side of the splitter working unless a switch is supplied. Waste of my money I'm afraid.Buy a hub with splitter switch instead or read up online before purchasing this type of item.

Nefasto. No funciona.Soy cliente Prime y nunca tengo problema. No he devuelto nunca apenas nada. Pero esto es una porquería que NO FUNCIONA y lo peor, ME PONE NO APTO para devoluciones. No es lo que vale. Es lo engañados que nos sentimos. Me hacía mucha falta poder conectar a mis 2 hijos al mismo cable de salida de internet. Por sus deberes escolares. Pruebo conexión a internet sin esto comprado y tengo. Le pongo este platico que no vale para nada y me pone que no tengo conexion.Es decir. UN TIMO. Funcionalidad y calidad 0!!!!

Descriptif incorrect d'Amazon.Le produit est d'un côté une fiche mâle 8P8C (qu'on appelle RJ45) à 8 contacts et 8 câbles, et de l'autre côté 2 ports femelles 8P4C (qu'on appelle aussi RJ45), mais 8P4C à 8 contacts et 4 câbles. J'aurais dû agrandir l'image et regarder attentivement. D'autant plus que les câbles des 8P4C sont croisés !Amazon aurait dû décrire son article par : "1 fiche mâle 8P8C et 2 fiches femelles 8P4C à câbles croisés".Je désirais acheter un simple dédoubleur : 1 mâle 8P8C avec 2 fiches femelles 8P8C à contacts identiques.

Es funktioniert nur ein Stecker. Egal ob beide Geräte zeitgleich an oder aus sind. Auch immer nur eine Leitung, die andere ist grundsätzlich tot. - Umgetauscht.
