Q: Hi, does the timer make a noise when going round?

Thank you for your question. You may hear a slight ticking noise from the timer mechanism located on the base of the feeder, depending on where the feeder is placed etc. The timer dials on the top of the feeder, do not make any noise. Pet Mate Customer Service

Thank you for your question. The dials will move incredibly slowly. It is not something that you would be able to see if standing watching. We would advise to set both sides of the feeder for 4 or 6 hours to test, put up on a work surface/table etc and come back to it after this time has passed. Pet Mate Customer Service

Q: I sometimes go away friday morning and return sunday . can this be programmed to open for example saturday morning and again sunday morning. i

Set timer for two feedings ie 13.00 hrs . Starts the same day. So in your case, set feeder Fri put food in all 3 trays , the No1 tray is useless as the time will operate on Friday 13.00 hr (1st feed timed) then on Saturday 13.00hr (2nd feed timed). This is 2 day feeder, same day and next day. I have sent my one back. If it had a 'Start tomorrow' option it would be good then it will feed for 3 days.
