excellent so far
well I replaced an almost 14 year old Canon MP480 ... good thing with the old one is that I could refill the cartridges very easily, I am hoping it will be the same with the new one. Canon printers are usually made to last and only time will tell. I found that the installation process wasn't easy peasy for me, but once you get it going it should work just fine. we are using our router to connect to the printer and except for one occasion where I had to reconnect it to the network it is working well. The printer menu can do with a bit more explanation (bare in mind that I did not read the instructions nor watched many videos on youtube to learn) this printer is very quite and fast enough. I love that full duplex function so if you are printing on both side of the page this is a treat. Canon software feels redundant and a bit of a bloatware ... I tried to print a picture in a smaller that A4 glossy paper and before I could get it right I ended up printing it using a different software... anyhow the printer is absolutely perfect and I can't really complain about anything especially taken into account the features, the functionality and the look. I could very easily recommend this printer to anyone.

Cheap and OK
When my well used Canon Pixma finally died I looked for a new printer. My requirements had changed - I no longer need 6 separate inks and a slide scanner - so I looked for something more basic. This TS5150 is certainly fairly basic. I'm trying to use it more often, because my old printer had issues due to infrequent use. The print quality is perfectly acceptable and although I won't be printing photos, the one I tried was fine as well. The main thing I wanted was the ability to connect with USB as well as Wifi - this has that connection. Having to lift the front cover right up is an irritation, it tells you off and won't do anything if you don't have it in the right position. The paper tray holds very little - but I'm only using it for the odd thing that needs printing so I don't mind that. I've got it set on 'quiet mode' - the actual printing is fairly quiet, the amount of chuntering and whirring that goes on each time before it prints is more irritating. Having set up loads of printers over the years I found this one surprisingly awkward. The instructions weren't particularly helpful and my Windows 11 laptop didn't see it as a plug and play item. I'm very happy with the quality of scans. It's a shame it doesn't use the same software as my old Canon, although I kept the program it isn't compatible with the new printer/scanner. It's a cheap printer, which does a good job if you want something for occasional printing. If you do a lot of printing then I would spend more and get something with more paper capacity.

Good print quality
Firstly, I don't think I was the first person to open the box as the printer was covered with finger marks! After giving it a clean, I found this printer a bit fiddly to set up but I don't have a lot of experience with this. Once connected to WiFi, and Canon app on my phone, it was very straightforward from there. Good print quality for documents. I've not tried printing photos as I didn't have the correct paper. Scan/print function works well. The only weak point is where the power lead connects at the back of the printer, it doesn't feel robust. All in all, I'm very happy with it, and I can finally print from my phone, but unfortunately, not amazon invoices!

Fantastic functionality and cheap!
I have never got on with printers, I am fairly tech savvy but always seem to have problems linking them to computer or just getting them to print after having them a while! However, this little beast was easy to set up and works on my phone via an app so can print docs straight away. It does lose WiFi signal when switched off and back on, but I have found turning WiFi off and back on on my phone is a quick fix to sync them back up. Print quality is good and can also do double sided printing, although this does take quite a while longer to print (but to be fair I'm used to a big office printer doing this so not particularly comparable). Overall great printer and really good price!

So poor it's funny
There's good printers, average printers, rubbish ones and then this. It's so bad it's funny. Most inkjets go through a charging process when you turn them on, can take a minute or so and disables the printer (and uses ink no doubt). This Canon takes about three minutes EVERY time you turn it on. Not only that, after each print it then goes through another charging process. If you have to cancel a print that takes minutes, then it goes through ANOTHER charging process. It's probably actually available to print less than 50% of the time it's on. I have printed out around twenty documents so far and the colour ink tank is already between 25% and 50% remaining. Canon do make some excellent printers, they're usually along with Epson the best in my opinion. This one however should be confined to the dustbin where it belongs
