So pleased.
A MUST have if your into the outdoors and your in the south west area. Sooo many places to visit! And a really nice book, much longer and bigger than i thought it would be. But that’s a good thing. Do yourself a favour and get one, trust me you will have some great times!

Best Adventure Guide
I received the South East version of this book for my birthday and I’ve already been on quite a few camping trips and it has been really useful to see some amazing places I wouldn’t have otherwise discovered. After three camping trips in the south east I decided to buy the south west book. I’ve received some adventure books, rock climbing books and other books in the past and they were interesting but I never really ended up using them to enhance my trips, but this book has been really useful and if I want a weekend away then I use this book to go somewhere new. It’s also meant my tent is used a lot more and I’m spending less on B&B’s and going away more often. Friends and family keep asking me how I afford to go away so much and how I’m finding all these picturesque places and I give this book full credit.

Wonderful book full of hidden gems in the south west
I bought this book to help guide my adventures when on frequent weekend trips to the south west of England. There are some lovely hidden gems, very beautiful photographs. The instructions are clear and maps help to plot a route if wanting to check out a few locations in one trip. Perfect book to leave on the coffee table on a miserable day to plot future escapades!

Great way to find hidden places.
Recommended this book by a friend who had used it very successfully to find hidden spots in her local area. The focus does seem to be on swimming spots but as a result it is possible to find some great lovely beaches and river walks. Most require a walk in which does limit the number of people you are likely to come across, but here in the SW, during Summer, you'll still be lucky to avoid people altogether on a nice day.Get OS maps for the areas you want to go to, it makes finding the places that bit easier, although I agree with other reviews that having the grid ref in the description would be handy. Don't expect your mobile internet to work in much of rural Devon/Cornwall so your phone mapping may not work.A number of the places are still very popular, although that's more of a locals popularity than anything.one final thing, it would be good to know where all the photos have been taken on all the pages as we'd love to visit some of them but have no idea which ones they are.

Super guide to anyone living or visiting the South West
My daughter lives in Devon, and is a real outdoorsy type, loving wild camping and wild swimming, and so on and she adores this book. She knew a few places already, but many were new to her and she is already planning trips based on what she has read. The addition of eateries and beaches and the like is just a bonus.Really cannot be faulted, written by knowledgeable people who know the area intimately. A must have for anyone - but especially anyone in their 20s or 30s - who lives or plans to visit the area.

Fantastic book!
Got this book today and have studied some interesting places already. The authors have certainly done their research and home work resulting in a very informative and pleasurable book. I am already planning a few away road trips over the coming weeks. The attention to detail and directions etc is first hand. Accompanied by some beautiful photographs you cannot fail to absorb the atmosphere and feel yourself getting excited as you browse. A definite book for anyone who loves wild places, swimming, walking and camping. Thoroughly recommend this book. Worth every penny. Will further update when visited planned locations.Cheers Guys!

Great book
I love this book. Bought it last summer for campervan trip to North Devon and used again recently for trip to Cornwall. It had great advice on campsites, wonderful beaches and secret beauty spots away from the usual tourist trail. It is a Wild guide and therefore by its nature you do need to be quite fit/prepared to walk or climb to access quite a few of the suggestions for places to visit but they do make this clear when necessary, and by no means applies to all.I have recommended it to lots of friends and so just hope it doesn't become a victim of its own success!

The only guide book I needed
I don't often bother to write reviews but have just come back from a month on the road in my campervan and this book has been my absolute bible. I didn't really use any other of my travel books whilst in Cornwall and Devon and was not disappointed once with any of the locations I visited. Even in July many of the deserted coves and rivers were truly deserted and mind blowingly stunning. There has been lots of news stories lately of tourists risking emergency services lives by doing stupid things, so before you go off with this book, ready to strip your clothes off and jump into rivers and coves, make sure you do your research on how to do so safely. Hope the author has more of these in the pipeline for other areas of the uk :)
