Works well
I bought this to pull up part of a chipboard floor. I found the best technique is to chip a bit of wood away next to the nail head (3-4mm deep with a 1/4 inch chisel) and that allows the puller to get under the nail head with just one tap. After a few the technique is perfected and I've pulled my first 50 nails up in less than an hour. The next load will probably go a bit faster. The nails take quite a tug (70mm ring nails) to get them started but perfectly doable. All but one came out with no damage to the board. Just need to be careful with nails really close to the T&G. I always make sure I pull in the direction away from the join and that seems to work better. Very pleased, it would be a very different experience without the puller.

What a tool
I can honestly say it was a pleasure to use. Once you get the hang of it it makes pulling nails up so easy. I managed to replace all the all nails in my landing in 2 hours with screws

No better than a claw hammer
This is only good for nails that you could easily pull with a claw hammer. For anything more difficult where you will try to use a hammer to get the nail removal started you will find that the tool is not as well made as it feels. Mine broke after a few hits.Obviously the manufacturer expects you to only use the leverage of the tool alone which is quite frankly a waste of time. There are far better tools that you can use for difficult nails. Sadly this comes nowhere near as useful.Mine is now in the bin in pieces.Don’t seem to ever have a good experience with faithful tools anymore. They used to be well made and indestructible but now they’re nothing like that. This is probably the last faithful tool I buy as I can’t trust the brand anymore.

Works, but mine fell apart on day 2 of the job
I used this to rip all the nails out of the living room floorboards of a 1960s house. The product does do what it says on the tin, it rips out nails. However, you do need to use a LOT of force to get it to bed in around the nail heads and partway through using it the internal rivet that holds the slide hammer head to the body fell out and as I lifted the head quickly to then slam it down, it slipped off. As I brought the head back down it had moved and the metal bar of the lower part smacked into my arm leaving a very nasty bruise and my arm shaking for a while as it hit a nerve I guess.I would recommend the 'type' of product, however I was very disappointed to have this fail within 24 hours of delivery.

Works for me !
It works. Brilliant. My musical floorboards are being silenced. Have so far successfully pulled 50 two and a half inch nails. Did have 4 failures with nails shearing mainly early on before I had perfected the technique that successfully works. For the best result my method is as follows. I make short tramlines with a Stanley Knife in the floorboards either side of the nailheads and then with a quarter inch chisel dig the wood out from under the lips of the nail. This makes it easy for the jaws of the Nailpull to get a good grip under the lip of the nailhead. Just apply steady firm heavy pressure and the nail will pull. Don't jerk the Nailpull as I did early on or the nail may shear. The shallow cavity made by the chisel in the floorboard then serves as a recess for the countersunk head of a size 10 two and a half inch supa-screw to replace the nail. Have a good electric screwdriver for the purpose. My conclusion - "worth every penny"
