Great quality, the construction is solid and the magnetic scoop in the lid and the locking mechanism work perfectly. Yes it’s expensive but it is worth it and looks great as well. Our 15kg bag didn’t quite fit all of the food in the 30L but onto a handful or so left over

Honestly this is a brilliant storage bin. It looks smart in the kitchen, is well made and sturdy. The magnetic scoop is a brilliant addition. The magnet is strong so no chance of it falling off and replacing the scoop is easy as the strong magnet pulls it back into place with zero effort from the user. It's easy to clean. It does appear to be finger print resistant. The seal is great. Dog doesn't bother with it as he can't smell the food when its closed. The other thing is the 10 year warranty. If it lasts ten years its money very well spent and if it doesn't then you can use the warranty!Oh the other thing is that it's very easy to open one handed. Bowl in one hand, easily open and scoop with the other!No complaints at all. One of my better purchases.Also I agree with another reviewer. If your dog food is high in meat content and low in grain and fillers then the individual kibbles are heavier and my 12kg Barking Heads Puppy Large Breed bag did fit in the 25l bin. I'm changing to Orijen and will be back to update with how that fits but I cant see it being an issue.UPDATEIt fits 11.6kg bags of Orijen Large Breed Puppy.

Last year I picked up on something I wish I’d noticed earlier: our dog would absolutely attack his dinner on the first couple of nights after we’d opened a new bag of food. As the days went on, he’d get less enthusiastic.I finally realised that the bin we were storing his food in wasn’t airtight and his food was getting stale. This bin, though a bit pricey, is properly airtight, and the dog’s food seems to be staying fresher much longer: he’s keen for dinner every night now.This bin isn’t cheap, but I do believe it’s made for a real upgrade in our dog’s life. It feels like a good quality item: it’s robust, and I appreciate the integrated storage slot for the scoop. A great buy.

The xl size is a little too small, only 5l larger than the l. Had hoped it would hold 2x12kg dog food. In reality it holds little less than 18kg meaning u have about 6kg to sort elsewhere. build quality is excellent wheels r ok on hard floors. If u r only buying single bags go for the large it’ll fit in more places.

I have tried several dog food storage bins in the past, at much cheaper prices but every one has had to be returned. Either the clip breaks or they are not air tight or they just look cheap and nasty. So I decided to pay the money and go for this one. It arrived DPD, extremely well boxed and packaged. Easy to get out of box. Has 10 year guarantee. Very good looking bin with the brushed stainless steel (pity not manufactured in black like other kitchen bins from this company), good pair of wheels to push the bin around on. The handle and closing mechanism is sturdy, easy to operate and definitely produces an air tight seal. The bin has an internal bin, easily removed for washing and the good size scoop is held well in place by its magnetic handle, to a 'housing' inside the lid. This is the 25l bin and a 10kg sack of McAdams kibble just fits in. To get the last amount in, close lid and gently lift front of bin, tapping it back down on the floor a few times. The contents will settle and allow room to empty the last bit in from the sack. As previous reviewers suggest, how much kibble the bin will hold depends upon the quality of the kibble. A heavy cereal based kibble will be more bulky than the grain free, nothing added, high protein food produced for the top end of the market. This Size bin is not suitable for a 10kg sack of cereal based kibble. Would advise larger bin if in doubt. A very robust and attractive container. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I wanted something to store my cat food in. I have 3 cats and was getting tired of there being bags of cat food all over the place. I baulked at the price, but thought I'd take a chance on reading up about ideal pet food storage. This fit the bill with it being air tight and BPA free, I know the food won't be contaminated if I decide to empty the contents directly into the bin and will be in tip top condition. However, it is advised that you store the food in storage containers, inside the bag they came in to keep them at the best. So that is exactly what I do. The biggest bag of cat food I ever buy is 10kg. I can fit the whole bag into this pet food bin, without having to empty the contents. So I'm more than happy. I haven't used the magnetic scoop as I already have one I use, and to be honest it's so discreet I forgot it was even there. Would highly recommend. Looks super smart as well. For reference, I bought size M (they only do M, L and XL) and have no regrets. I would think you'd only need to buy a bigger size if you have more than 10kg of pet food to store.

I have several simplehuman products and love the brand. The delivery was mega fast.There is no doubt this is a great design and I love the magnetic scoop. I have the XL size pet food bin.Unfortunately it is let down by the wheels.Although they spin freely when lifted they do not work when on the floor no matter how you tilt it, they also seem very flimsy compared to the rest of the pet food bin.As I have the XL size this is essential to move it around. I see from the reviews on here and also the superhuman website that this is a common occurrence and no suggestions found on there by simplehumanhelped.If you don’t need to move it around this won’t be a problem.Also there was a small dent in the side. I feel this wouldn’t have happened if the sides were stronger and it was packaged better. The box it came in wasn’t very strong at all and did not protect against dents.I have decided to keep it as I couldn’t be sure that a replacement would be any better.If the wheel issue was fixed and also the outer sides of the superhuman pet food bin made stronger this would be perfect. (Packaging also needs to be stronger)
