When it comes to portable electronic devices, I prefer those that don't require batteries that have to be recycled at the end of their useful lives. I purchased this solar radio in the unlikely event that it would be necessary to survive an emergency. However, I use it almost every day to follow various talk radio and sports stations while sitting outside in the sun. Its antenna is sensitive enough to pick up all of my favorite stations, and its speaker system is excellent. I particularly like the blue battery lights that indicate its level of charging, and the crank system is easy to use and definitely extends the life of the battery charge, although I would recommend using the crank to charge the battery from 0 to 100 percent. It would take too long and probably wear out the internal components quicker. My only criticism of this device is that it does not have a wired earphone connection to quietly listen to the radio around people. Other than that, this radio is worth the cost.

I was impressed by how solidly built this radio is. The quality of sound from the built-in speaker is very good, but I was disappointed that it has no headphone jack and therefore, no FM stereo. The simple, analog controls are what I prefer and the reception is good for most stations. Listening to the local NOAA weather station will be my main use for it, as they've stopped broadcasting in this area on the AM Band. Everything on the radio works fine and the various light settings are very bright. I charged my phone and another small radio by USB from it and charged it back up with the same connector to my desktop computer. I was tempted to give it only a 4-star rating because of the missing headphone jack, but everything else about it is so good, I gave it 5 stars.

The media could not be loaded. This is a very good product; it is light and can be easily carried, with or without the handle. The flashlight could be a little brighter for my taste, and the radio is very easy to use, The sounds were easy to hear and clear, and it also has an antenna, which can help you adjust the station to get a better listen if you are not hearing clearly. The turner on the radio was practical and helped to switch the station on the radio. Which I like very The volume was loud enough to hear and listen to during the storm to get valuable information. The radio had AM, FM, and WB, which can be used based on where you live. WB is used for weather stations. Above the volume and the tuner, there are four lights that show you the battery capacity. Which is helpful in monitoring the battering level to help me be aware of the charging. When I first use the item, it is fully charged and can be used immediately. The right side of the item consists of a plastic cover and buttons to help use the flashlight, the SOS alarm, a solar panel, and a charging port for both your phone and the item. Do not remove the cover; it's hard to go back on. I had to learn the hard way. The flashlight has two features on the left side: the high beam and the dipped. It has a compass, but I'm not good with reading compasses. The compass was pointing to the north when I turned around in my area. This product is good to use for emergencies within the storm. I like how the item has a charging port and a solar panel instead of a battery, but I wish the charging port was a little longer. It was worth it and would purchase it again when needed

The day I got this radio, I had it on for a bout 4-6 hours total that day. And it still had 2 or 3 lights lit up! That same night (after not charging it once) I accidently left the reading light on all night (about 9 hours), and the light was still on! Now I know this can weaken the battery, but im still impressed! Now here's a really impressive part: the radio was completely dead, so I decided to do ONE single crank to see what would happen. It turned on instantly. So I gave it about 5 more cranks and it was on for over a minute, and if I hadn't turned it off, I'm sure it could have stayed on for much longer!As for money, I think this radio is one of the cheapest radios that is actually high quality! It's easy to use, it has many features that will be very useful in case of emergency! The dials are easy to turn, it can pick up signals from pretty far away, and it was definitely the best choice.10/10 reccomended!

I had to use it when my power went out, it works really well. Has a couple different light options on it, which is nice. And easy to charge my phone with it since it has a hand crank. Radio works great, so does the weather alert. I definitely recommend this emergency radio.

Pretty good and versatile. Not disappointed. Radio works fine, and the flashlight is plenty bright, while the SOS button is pretty darn loud. In all, it's Smaller than I expected and the crank is a bit awkward to use but it works in an emergency situation so I can't complain too much. Light weight enough, though I kinda wish it had a belt clip for hikes. 9/10, could use an indicator for battery life while charging/cranking as you sorta just have to guess.

Wow, how do the Chinese do it for $30. It's not junk. This is a nice piece of equipment to have around The speaker has a nice sound and the tuner is tight grabs all the channels. The flashlight is unbelievable, With a hand crank and solar panel you always have power. You can even charge your phone in a emergency

Worked great in the Helene Storm where we were without electricity for 3 weeks! With trees down we couldn’t get out and no internet or phone service this kept us informed throughout with radio. Charged beautifully in the day with the solar and worked at night with windup with the light. Really saved us. No we keep it charged in the window in case we need it again. Wouldn’t survive in a storm without it.
