Century Flower Barrier Defence Mist, Strengthens Skin, Calms Redness, 100ml

This mist is certainly not cheap and many would say a using a mist is a superflous step but it adds a touch of luxury to my Pai skincare routine that I wouldn’t now be without.I’m in my fifties and I love that Pai consistently delivers amazing skin-improving results but the company emphasis is on caring for skin without focussing their marketing or product names too much on ‘anti ageing’ - Thank you Pai, for recognising that we should be past that in the 21st Century.I use many Pai products and they all smell wonderful but this mist in particular just makes me feel like a princess. The natural scent of orange blossom that magically disappears after a split second, the satisfying action of the high quality pump bottle that doesn’t over dispense, the ‘slip’ that it provides after hot cloth cleansing, making the application of subsequent serums and creams much easier, all now make it an essential part of both my morning and evening skincare sessions.If you already use and love Pai and can afford to, give this mist a try, its a ‘pampering’ product for sure, but who can say that’s not worth something?

I was expecting so much more with how expensive this was for a face must but I have used for a couple of days and my skin is now all red and blotchy and really dry, it doesn’t even feel hydrating when you use it which is what is disappointing, this was the only product I used differently over the last few days aswel!

Amazing product, extremely refreshing and calming no breakouts since using this from October 2023.

This is quite nice. It did leave my skin feeling nice and refreshed. It hasn't caused any skin irritation and it doesn't have an artificial scent. This will probably be great for humid summer days.

I couldn't find the instructions for use until I popped the box open to "learn more" where it tells me I can layer it under serums, moisturisers and oils for more hydration.Actually my skin is slightly oily so I don't go O.T.T. with hydrators. I seem to gain adequate hydration from this, plus normal moisturiser. Using this I'm currently cutting out my usual hyaluronic acid serum and separate allow vera based gel. I like how lightweight it is, because my skin gets easily clogged up and I dislike the feeling of thick products on my skin.It has a really lovely smell to it, slightly citrus while not being overpowering. I find it relaxing to use either morning or night. It seems to make my skin more matte (less oily) and perhaps does help redness as i've had some mild irritation on my upper cheeks which is maybe a little paler.It takes approx 2-3 sprays to cover my face, dries fairly quickly and works well under other products that I've used alongside it, whether that's creams, serums or mineral powder foundation.I find the price a little high, but at the same time, one factor when considering the price of cosmetics is whether I can cut out any other products in buying a single higher priced one. I may be able to with this, and the added bonus: less clutter!

Pai makes lovely skincare products which always look and feel high quality. From the packaging to the product itself you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into what you get. This is a 100ml bottle of their Century Flower Lotus & Hyaluronic Acid Barrier Defence Mist. It is designed to be soothing and rebalancing and is ideal when your skin needs some TLC.I found the product to be really lovely to use, it is very calming and soothing and did not aggravate my sometimes sensitive skin. It feels cooling and is great for menopausal skin and I think it will be lovely in warmer weather as it is very refreshing. The spray is light so it absorbs into my skin quickly making it skin feel very hydrated.I think this is a lovely product but the price seems high. I have a skincare budget and work on a splurge/save basis and toners are something I usually save on. I would definitely get this again if the price was lower or if money was no object (in my dreams!). It is a five star product but I have taken a star off because of the price.
