What should this be filled with?

I got this for my ten year old. I put a small amount of sand in the bottom for weight (just got a couple of pounds of craft sand from walmart) and then filled the rest with towels and old sheets.

Will this work on a stand or do you have to mount it?

It works great on a stand, that's how I have it hung up

What size are the gloves?

My son is nine years old and they fit him fine
