*It should be noted that the glass sealed gas is colorless and transparent. Please don't misunderstand it as an empty tube. It must be illuminated under the condition of high voltage electric field. There are many ways to light up the gas. You may try any of below several ways:

2. Using high-voltage generator to make it shine, which has been used by HMME and the picture hown comes from this method. Commonly used high-voltage discharge devices include Tesla coils, spark detectors, etc. When the glass-enclosed gas is close to a high-voltage arc, the gas will illuminate. This method has a high luminous intensity, but it is necessary to pay attention to safety because it involves a bare high-voltage electric spark. At the same time, please let the round bottom part of the glass tube to be close to the spark, try to avoid the spark contact with the tip of the glass tube. If the spark always touches the tube, the glass tube is easy to be damaged and cause the gas leaking.
