This appliance is the best!! I've had the larger food saver machine (the one that takes up so much room on the counter!) and was never all that happy with it for multiple reasons. This smaller version is much better, takes up less counter space and keeps the vacuum way better. I also purchased several of the plastic containers and I'm very happy with them as well.. My leftovers are lasting so much longer and I'm throwing out/wasting less food which means I'm saving a lot more money!! If you're on the fence about this product, jump off and buy one today!!

I got the large Foodsaver system for Christmas and while it was very effective at vacuum sealing, it was also extremely difficult to seal the bag . So I returned that to the purchaser and got this little one from Amazon . It's very small so you can leave it up on your countertop. It takes very little space, whereas the big Foodsaver was enormous and heavy. I like using the bags better than the containers which I find take up a lot of space and don't hold very much food

This little unit is a counter type simple sealer for vacuum seal zip lock bags and the Foodsaver containers. Pretty hands free once it starts you can walk away from it and it lets you know when it's done.

I really like this food saver. It saves space on my kitchen counter. It is very easy to use. The suction is very strong. Great for saving not only food but also money.

We use this daily. With bags we have extended the refrig life of lettuce, cabbage, deli meats, so many fresh foods. I found the containers hard to open at first. Then I learned after depressing the air release, just wait another 10 seconds and the lid will come off easier. The vacuum seal on these are very strong.

Works SOOOOO much better than the little battery one. The battery one failed to charge after maybe 10 uses. This one, while much bigger, does the job much better and will not suffer from battery issues.

The unit takes up less space which is great. Works well with the new Foodsaver containers and resealable bags. Initially bought some older containers until I realized you had to use the new containers ( with the green seals). Definitely keeps things fresher longer... just read the instructions on what you shouldn't use it on. .
