Better than expected
I'd seen the full-size version of this keyboard (KB700) being used and wanted something for my home setup. The KB700 was a little too big at 43cm wide for my home working setup so this compact version KB740 at 36cm wide was a much better option. The keys are spaced apart sufficiently but the only slightly annoying thing is that I often hit 'num lock' key rather than the 'backspace' key when I want to delete something, just because of muscle memory of that being the place where it usually is. The keyboard is VERY responsive (a good thing) and there is absolutely no lag between typing and seeing the characters coming out on-screen (in that respect its just like a wired keyboard). I love how you can connect this keyboard to 3 devices at once (1 via dongle and 2 via blue-tooth). I have 2 machines and use the toggle button in the top-right corner of the keyboard to switch between devices. The keyboard is relatively quiet to type on but the loudest sound comes from the pressure that echoes through my desk when I type on it. Placing the keyboard on top of a T-towel that's folded over to double the thickness totally eliminated that echo sound. I think therefore that a thin mouse-mat type mat would achieve the same thing. Overall I really like this keyboard. Time will tell how batteries last before they need to be changed. Would recommend.
