This free-standing, cordless, battery-powered alarm clock is sleek, modern, no fuss and feels robust, despite its basic plastic housing. It came packed in its own sturdy box and was well-protected against scratches and other damage. I quite like its chunky design. The red digits are larger than on my previous alarm clock and are very clear. The LED display is bright enough to be read easily during the day but, at the same time, not so bright that it interferes with sleep. The brightness can also be adjusted - there are 3 levels of brightness and I have set mine at level 2. The default for the colon between the hour and minute digits is set to blinking but, if this is distracting, the flashing of the dots can be switched off and the dots will display without blinking. One single alarm can be set and the clock has a snooze function. The alarm starts off at a fairly low volume, which I like, and gets louder as time progresses. The clock itself operates silently and cannot be heard ticking or humming. Unlike similar-looking USB-powered alarm clocks, the display of this alarm clock stays on permanently. This was the single most important point for me. I had tried several USB alarm clocks previously and the display on all of those switched off after a few seconds, unless the USB was plugged into the mains (a power bank did not do the trick). As the alarm clock cannot stand next to my bed and there is no socket within reach to connect the clock to the mains, I would have to make a fairly loud noise (not ideal whilst your partner is sleeping!), or get up to touch the snooze button, if I wanted to see the time in the middle of the night. With the Kwanwa alarm clock, I do not have this problem, as the time is always visible - day and night. On the negative side, the battery compartment on my alarm clock is very snug. It is so tight that the 4 AA batteries push up against each other and form a pyramid shape before they literally launch themselves out of the clock. It was tricky to keep them in place with one hand, whilst clicking the battery door in position with the other - they kept escaping. Even with the battery door secured, the batteries want to push out, so the battery door is bending outwards and there is a small gap between the door and the clock itself. It is a bit annoying but cannot be seen from the front. I do not know how long the clock will operate before the batteries need to be replaced. Currently, I am using single use batteries but will switch to rechargeable ones in the future. The clock was bought about a month ago, has been in use ever since and so far no regrets.

When my silent no tick analog bedside clock finally packed in I was at a loss to find a suitable replacement. I mainly wanted it to see what time it was during the night on occasion but didn’t want to venture out of the duvet to press the illumination button , nor did I want to have to plug it into a socket or USB to recharge. I eventually came across this permanently lit ,battery operated digital masterpiece of a clock with numerals so big that I have now re located it to the other side of the room without the need to even raise my head off the pillow. The illuminated numerals come in three different colour formats Red, Green or White . I chose the green one as it seemed the most restful. There are three different brightness setting LOW , MEDIUM or HIGH which in the interest of battery conservation and solely nighttime use ,I set to LOW. On the low setting it isn’t particularly visible in a bright room but for my use ideal in the bedroom. The clock itself can be set to either 12 or 24 hour format and has an alarm feature which because I have chosen an out of reach location in the room will not be used and since in any event setting the alarm on the phone would be my preferred choice these days.There is also a keyhole slot on the back should you wish to wall mount it. All in all a thoroughly decent clock highly recommended.

Great green colour, shows up well at night. Easy to move from room to room without having to unplug and then re do the time especially if there has been a power cut. Definitely good value easy to do the time settings and very accurate . The buttons are easy to use, haven’t used the alarm yet but I don’t think there’s going to be a problem. If I need an extra clock I will definitely get another one.

Received this clock yesterday and was very easy to set up. Nice size white numbers. It comes with 3 levels of brightness. So last night I found it too bright in the dark and tried it on the lowest setting. It didn't make any difference. It would seem I only have 2 settings. So obviously faulty. Will be contacting amazon about a replacement. Clock came with no specific packaging. Just bubble wrap around the clock in a plain brown box. Could have been someone had previously returned it as faulty. It's a shame as its a nice small battery run clock. Perfect size and great number display. Not happy though to have received another faulty item from amazon though.

I bought this clock for my mum who has trouble seeing. She loves it and is able to view the time from quite a distance. She also likes that it has a 24hr mode as sometimes she gets confused with am and pm times. It is also a lovely sleek style, light weight and good size. Great value for money.

Great alarm clock, I think it's pretty standard these days (idk why I say that it's not like I'm 50), it's a pretty good size, quite compact - I'd go as far to say it's average. It may be a bit overpriced (I paid about £16 which honey tells me is the lowest it's been) but as long as it's reliable and lasts as long as my grandma then I'm perfectly happy. It has 3 brightness levels, for now I'm keeping it at full but if I go away for a while I might switch it down so it lasts a bit longer not that it matters all that much. Also it looks sick on my desk (it's giving fnaf 4 clock). I'm done yapping thanks for reading :)

Fine product. I haven't noticed any problems mentioned in past negative reviews, I think the manufacturer has changed some things. It is bright enough to see in the day, but not too bright for night. The numbers are big and easy to see. I've only had it a week, so I can't say much about battery life, but since I use rechargeable batteries I don't expect any problems. I don't find the settings difficult to change. Perfect that it doesn't have a power cord, the batteries are enough.

Good display, any one can buy without thinking. Delivery it will take almost one month but still you can wait for this product.

At that price, ClasOhlson offers a Radio along with a digital LED clock alarm. Amazon must reduce the price for this 'Made-in-China' item' !!!

Great little clock. I like to be able to dim the numbers or make them brighter Also they are large and easy to read.

Perfect in our living room! We could never see the appliance clocks hidden by our kitchen countertop and now we can see the time easily from our couch. I purchased the black clock with red illuminated numbers which is easy to see, the black blends into the TV sound bar and looks like it's a part of the TV. The numbers are just the right size. Keeps perfect time. I like the battery operated, no cords. Perfect!
