This product is good for damaged sculp as you can apply it by hand rather than rubbing it in. The brush provided does leave a heavier application than I intended so being more careful. I have thinner hair now so probably the problem. It doesn't damage my hair or sculp and leaves it shiny and rich. Highly recommend the light brown.

I really hate going to the salon, but my hair always looks better with a blended balayage, otherwise it’s kind of a blah light brown. My hair does get some dimension to it when I’m in the sun by adding natural blonder strands but I haven’t really been in the sun lately or I wear a hat. I just wanted to add some highlights to my hair to made it more dimensional and this product worked BUT it did leave my hair pretty brassy looking. Purple shampoo fixed it right up though and now it’s perfect. The dark toner included with the kit definitely blended everything out but it also made my roots dark, which was weird. I’m so glad I didn’t leave both the beach and toner on for longer - I left the bleach solution on for about 8 minutes and the toner on for about 5 minutes. Both were the perfect amount of time and it would have been a disaster if I had left it on longer because I could clearly see my hair getting lighter and lighter. Now it’s just like a sun kissed, glowy highlight that looks great! But omg do not leave this on for 25-40 min as the package suggests. You will end up with fried, yellow hair! After using this, wait a day or two and then use a purple shampoo to tone down the brass. Overall, this kit made it pretty simple but the tool for coating strands sucked. I honestly just separated strands and coated them (not fully so it wouldn’t be like one stark blonde strand) in quick sections and then, to make sure that it wouldn’t be dyed in ugly blonde patches, I ran a comb through my hair to distribute more naturally. That seemed to do the trick!

This kit has so much potential, but fell short. The applicator brush was awful and caused more problems. It did not distribute the color very well or evenly. By the time I was done, my hair was horribly patchy and bright orange.

This is a great easy to use an inexpensive product for at home use. It’s great for those who don’t want the expensive at a salon.! The result is very good and if you take your time, you’ll have a good experience and a good outcome! Highlights grow out so quickly this is a great alternative! And definitely less expensive!

Its not a omg I need a hair stylist now bad but its not great either. The finger brush needs improvement. A bit stiff and caused some of my hair to be pulled out even after brushing well first. Blotchy areas a couple that are a little more clown orange...not really blonde. My hair was a dark blonde and when the sun hit it a touch of red creeped in. This is now more light sandy brown with a little orange. Not a good thing at all. I will not buy it again and really wish they would bring in the two step of golden blonde again. As i age I get darker not grey or white and the golden blonde was the closest to my natural colour.

I love this kit! The applicator is genius. You get genuine dimensionality and it’s not brassy. I do use a purple shampoo and conditioner once a week. I’ve already bought two more of this kit to stock up!
