DN5S-2N Deoxit D5 Contact Cleaner and Deoxidizer Mini Spray, 1.4 oz (40 g)

I bought a piece of used tube audio equipment and when I removed the cover, I found a soft drink had spilled gumming up all the potentiometers and tube sockets. I went to my local hardware store and purchased a competitors brand. Treating the pots twice with a heavy coat did nothing. I ordered the Deoxit and 2 small shots on each pot, sockets and switches was all it took. They work like new now and the component sounds great. Use this sparingly as it doesn't take much and comes in a small can.

The only reason for 4 stars on the value for money question is because the can is very small. I do anticipate this can lasting a long time though, and Deoxit is THE line of cleaning and lubrication for faders, switches and other sound and lighting control systems - basically anything that turns or clicks.

Worked as advertised. Used it to improve the connection of a 1/4 in plug into the brain of a Roland digital drum set. Will use it on other electrical connections going forward.

Seems like it works well. And I would be ok with the high price, but because of that price, I have a hard time overlooking the fact that the tube should work. I does not fit in the nozzle or the cap. Do better.

This stuff is awesome. I thought my expensive Teenage Engineering OP-1 died and it brought it back to life no problem. If your electronics are acting up try this stuff, It may be all you need. Shipping was sorta weird. It wasn't in a package but rather just in a plastic bag.

Love the smaller container and the "dial a spray" feature. DeOxit seems to be the best for contact cleaning that I have found.

I bought this specific can because it shipped and sold from amazon, and it could arrive the soonest. Big mistake. The red straw thats included does not fit. Its not even close, either. I was able to use a straw from one of the several cans in my garage at least. So if you dont have a collection of straws, and you need one, DO NOT buy this particular 1.4 oz can

I’ve built high end amps and repaired them as well. If you don’t want to replace parts try this first. I play guitars and use this on all my pots. Expensive but it is the top of the line used by the pros for a reason.
