for Dyson V8 SV10 Battery Adapter for Makita 18V Lithium Battery to for Dyson V8 Animal Fluffy Motorhead Handheld Vacuum Converter (MT18V8 Adapter only)

I almost didn’t get this based on some other reviews so I thought I would write a review based on my install and first use.It was an easy thing to switch out the Dyson battery with this adapter. Disassemble the Dyson, take the 3 screws out that hold the original Dyson battery and replace it with the adapter, that’s it.Dyson8 wall charger can still be used to hold the vacuum, simply flip up the part of the wall charger the vacuum plugs into. You’ll won’t be needing that anymore. Also you’ll have to take out the Makita battery.I keep the Makita 3.0ah 18v battery and a Makita 18v battery charger in the closet with the vacuum.Always a full battery ready this way. It lasts vastly longer than the Dyson battery. Dyson should be thanking this company for this adapter, I was going to toss it out.

The battery adaptor is a game changer! The vacuum lasts much longer and has tons more power. It can got hot if used continously for long period of time, but this happened with the original battery too... it would just die before it overheated. The only negative about this is it can't use the original vacuum holder (connected to the wall). I knew this going in and its preformance and convienence of being able to just swap out a battery fast far outweighs not being able to hang it. Don't settle an original battery replacement when this is a far superior product.

This adapter works great. Being able to use a 5.0aH battery, it lasts much longer than the built-in battery. I am able to vacuum my whole house on a single charge where before I would have to charge it 2 or 3 times to do the entire house.Pros: Long battery life; Quicker recharging;Cons: Slow shipping (9 days); Does not fit in original hanger/charger bracket;

Does exactly what it’s supposed to. Old vac wouldn’t hold a charge so now I can use my tool batteries instead.

This is the second time I tried this product thinking it was a fluke it didn’t work the first time around. With a fully charged Makita battery, it ran for 2-3 seconds, sputtered on and off a couple of times and quit working altogether. I tried using both my small and large capacity batteries with the same results. I gave it a zero but it won’t let me go past this screen with out at least a 1.

Easy to place and made vacuum so much better

Our Dyson was running on old stock batteries, so only lasted 2 minutes. This has allowed me to use my drill batteries, so they are quick charging and last quite a while. Easy installation, durable parts. Been using this for over a year.
