my 1992 volvo door cars were never designed to carry a heavy speaker even when brand new- certainly not 30 years later. After countless mounting attempts, i switch to these in the dash and they are FANTASTIC. The way that they pivot makes it possible to get really close to the windshield on final install

LOVE THESE! enough I bought two pair, a pair mounted just above the dash on my A-Pillar's on both my 2014 and my 2020 Subaru foresters. added a pair of 6.5 Mid-bass door speakers in the front doors and these together with a good DSP amp and tune and the system sounds incredible! They come with an included passive crossover or you can active bi-amp or even add a mid-bass and active tri-amp them if you are serious about your sound and have enough amplifier channels available for the best tuning possible.
