Not a thong although they are smaller in the back. Plenty of room in the pouch even for someone larger than average.

A single layer of fabric. It is strong and I love wearing it!

Yes it will migrate some even to the point of going into your Crack if you are real active. I have a small rear so this seldom happens. When it does go all the way it does not bother me. There is no harsh seam there and fabric is very soft.
