Bristan Echo EasyFit Kitchen Sink Mixer Tap Chrome Kitchen Mixer Tap

As the clue in the name suggests this tap was easy to fit (well if you don't include the tight working space in the cupboard under the sink, but no fault of the tap) My worktop is 30mm thick so it's not possible to feed the locking plate through from the top (8mm Worktop thickness is the maximum you can do this) so I removed the bottom locking plate, feed the hot and cold feeds through the worktop hole and replaced the locking plate, I did this on my own so had to work by feel rather than sight as you need one arm above the sink and one below, there is however a locating pin fitted so makes this relatively easy to do, if not you'll just need someone to help with this bit. Then you just position the tap where you want it and tighten it into place from above, very easy. The tap comes supplied with shut off valves but as I already had these fitted I didn't need them. The flexible hoses that are also supplied just screw into the hot and cold feeds, and only need to be hand tight, no tool necessary. Then it was just a matter of connecting the flexible hoses to the water supply and slotting the tap into place and tightening it, tools for tightening the grup screws are also supplied with the tap. The tap itself looks great and is of very high quality, the twin levers are free moving and function well. The water flow is smooth and has good pressure. All in all I found this an excellent product and would rcommend it.

Great quality tap. So easy to fit. Took no time at all and no special tools/spanners or such needed. Would def recommend. We’ve bought cheaper versions of this tap previously - the last one lasted 4 weeks and the tap part fell off one night when I turned it on. Spend a bit more and get a fantastic tap!!!! Water pressure great, no leaks, looks very nice and well worth the money.

Feels like a sturdy good quality tap and looks great too. Fitting it was very straightforward. However the flexible tap tails were too short. Fortunately the ones on my old tap were still in good condition so I used those.

It's crucial to note that optimal performance requires good water pressure, as low pressure may affect the effectiveness of the valves. Overall, this tap delivers excellent functionality in the right environment and is worth the investment.

I am pleased with this tap, however when either the hot or cold tap is used at anything other than full blast there is a high pitched ringing noise (5/6 KHz) It can be stopped by resting a finger on the tap and obviously only lasts as long as it’s switched on, so not a massive problem for me, but the reason I only gave 4 stars rather than 5. The quality appears to be pretty good, as regards longevity only time will tell!
