how long are these needles? Which do you prefer the size 26 or 28?

I use size 26 for 16/32 count and smaller, and 24s for 14/28 count. They are approximately the same length as the John James brand, NON-petites. I keep a JJ Petite on my needleholder to use when just one or three more stitches will make a difference, although I tend to be profligate with my floss use. (Floss is the least costly component of stitching for me.)
