Tossed in a pretty good handful of rough cut garlic cloves - turned out fine minced w. minimal effort. Start out slower, then proceed to more vigorously depressing plunger until reaching desired chop/ mince. Happy w. results so far!! I make sm. "pucks" (using sm. cookie scoop) freeze on a cookie sheet, then triple bag for freezer. Drop pucks into skillet/ pan - easy peasy! The blades are a bit flimsy.... dunno how durable this will be? Used it to make single serving of cole slaw: cabbage, carrot - beautiful/ uniform. Hoping it lasts?!

I use the chopper for chopping onions, peppers and garlic. It does chip finely. If you chop less times, the chunks are bigger.I find it very convenient to use.

I bought this product for the specific purpose of chopping cabbage for slaw since my wrist and thumb joint have gotten very painful when peeling vegetables or chopping. I washed the chopper and put in some small pieces of cabbage. The mechanism would not even let me push it down. Poured the cabbage pieces into a mixing bowl and tried it empty. Worked fine. I thought perhaps I had put too much in the bowl. Tried again with about a half cup of cabbage. Again, nothing. I never got the blades to cut a single piece of cabbage. I'll probably trash it. I didn't buy it to cut liquids, and it appears that's all it can handle. I guess I could check to see if it would cut through soft ice cream to make a milk shake.....

I do not usually do reviews. This chopper was worth writing a review for! It is so easy to use. I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE how it chops the vegetable extremely well. I chopped red pepper, garlic, and cannoli beans to together. Made it the exact way I wanted it!!! This product was everything I wanted in a chopper.

Works great! I needed an easy, nice size chopper and this is it!

Not capable of breaking down mid sized vege pieces. And, you still have the thing to clean up. Stick with chopping block and knife.

It is wonderful so far, my husband and I have made a few spreads with it and they came out superb!He did an initial chop test on some raw peanuts and it did fairly well for the small amount that we put in.
