Q: What is the mirrored piece for? And what is the sticky, soft grey rectangle for? It kind of reminds me of silly putty.

The mirrored piece is their business logo, it’s just an extra piece. Not sure about the rectangle you’re talking about though

Q: How do you open the round box?

If I remember correctly the top is flat & has a small wooden edge along the inside that makes it fit together with the bottom part of the box. It doesn’t have a big edge around the outside like a regular box. There’s a little wooden easel so you can prop up the top of the box to look at while you’re working on the puzzle. It’s a beautiful & fun puzzle.

Q: The add-on Facebook makes these look like their magnetic?

They are not magnetic, but the pieces fit together very well and are interesting shapes (some cut like animals, flowers, stars, etc). I have purchased 4 of these, and we do them as a family on holidays. They are great puzzles!
