A fan that is silent
A great fan That is nearly silent, and maintains a pre-set temp. and at the same time purifies the air. This later is most noticeable and very welcome. Although the unit is relatively expensive it is certainly worth the investment

Functionality is great, but the humming/buzzing noise is rather annoying...
Since I have a few Philips air purifiers around the house, I thought I'd get this device to keep my home office space at an ideal temperature in Winter, try to cool it down in Summer and purify the air at the same time... However the humming/buzzing noise (D# note) that it produces at times is rather disturbing. The air purifiers that I have scattered around the house are very quiet and barely audible in sleep/night mode. This device however isn't. Maybe I'm just a little sensitive to noise when I'm trying to work, but it's enough for me to debate returning the item. The functionality is great though... It warms up a room really quickly, as a fan it seems to work pretty well too and it features the same type of NanoProtect filter than my other devices. The remote is not the snappiest or most responsive but it's good enough.

Very poor for the price
Had this just over 2 months.Doesn't stay connected to the app, periodically just becomes unresponsive and has to be reset + re-linked to the app, which is sometimes simple and just works, sometimes needs to be done many times or reinstalling the app, big hassle for something I should not need to do. I've given up on the app, but even the remote is such poor quality it seems to need a direct line of sight and even then it's hit and miss. The fan itself is ok. Heating actually better than anything else, works really well. The circulation is nice and if the numbers are to be believed then it does a nice job of filtering some of the particulates from the air. As a fan it's ok but not great, the small version of the Dyson seems to cool the space better. I like that it can oscillate 350.It's a fan which shows the temperature on screen - but it does not expose the temperature to Alexa/Google Home so it's not possible to say "if the temp is above x then turn on the fan". It does expose the humidity though! Bizarre! Not that it matters since it won't stay connected anyway.Honestly from Phillips they should be embarrassed, quality is more what you'd expect from something unbranded and 1/4 of the price, feels like it's a work in progress not ready to hit the shelves. App very frustrating. Not worth the money. I regret buying this, I'm not sure what to recommend instead :(

Brilliant
When I brought this in October 2023 I had no end of problems with the app and remote control, I'm pleased to say the app now works a treat and remote is fine, the heat is amazing and fan in summer is brilliant, highly recommend

Ok, but not as good as others
We already had a phillips purifier and its amazing. We wanted something for the bedroom and thought with the fan and heater options this would be a good choice, but after a few weeks the oscillation makes a clicking noise. Overall it's good but for the money I expected better quality.

Faulty thermostat
It works well as an air purifier, but the thermostat is faulty. This means it's not safe to use in the nursery as we can't programme it to an appropriate temperature. Philips and Amazon's customer service has been useless with no option offered to come and collect it for repair.

Modern styling and has 3 in1 good functions.
The media could not be loaded. I personally think that the Philips Air performer 3 in 1 purifier, heater and fan model AMF870/35 is very modern looking. The AMF870 Power cable measures approximately 160 cm in length. The remote is very responsive and lets you control all of the features at your fingertips, But you can also control it from your phone using the Philips air+ app. The display gives you all the relevant information you require, such as fan speed, timer, temperature of the room etc and the air quality which is represented by numbers and a colour bar. Also on the display is a PM 2.5 which is a scale for measuring real-time air quality. Its values vary from 0 to 500. The PM2.5 indication is connected to your Philips Air Purifier's air quality light ring/bar to inform you in real time about the quality of the ambient air. The different colours indicate the following:* Blue: good* Blue-Violet: fair * Red-Purple: unhealthy * Red: very unhealthy. My air quality in the bedroom once it had done it’s real time testing which is approximately 16 m² was red-purple, So I selected turbo mode which purifies the air quickly and within 5 minutes the colour bar had change to blue. The heat function works really well, Which this time I placed the AMF870 in our front room/dining room which is approximately 32 m² and close the door and within 15 to 20 minutes these rooms was lovely and warm. The heat mode which can be adjusted between temperatures of one Celsius to 37 Celsius has no adjustable fan speed, But I noticed when I set it to 37 Celsius the fan speed increased slightly. The fan function has an adjustable speed between one and 10, Which at max speed has a good flow of air. Overall I personally think that this Phillips AMF870 is good with all of its functions in one unit, but I was rather disappointed in the lack of information that the manual provides, which has too many pictures, and not enough text to explain anything which meant I had to do some Google researching and go on the Philips support webpage. I hope you have found my video and review helpful.
