Easy to use, value for money
I bought this tape as I only needed a small piece and the other product were a lot more expensive. The clear colour means I can use it on different projects too. I checked online for the best most invisible way to do it and I inserted the tape on the inside, carefully sticking the fabric on top of it. It required repositioning a few times, but the tape isn’t that sticky until rubbed firmly in place.

Seems to do a good, weatherproof job
So far this tape has proved pretty robust on a goretex running jacket that got ripped after a fall. The tape isn’t thick is very flexible and matt, so provides a good, quite invisible mend. I found it applied well and didn’t life at the edges, though I followed the advice to round the edges of the patches I cut. The instructions suggest this is a temporary solution and Stormsure’s repair tape and glue should be used for something more permanent. However, so far the repair has proved durable, and it can apparently be washed in a washing machine.

Wouldnt do without this stuff
I've used this before on inflatables and it works a treat, you can get specific sized patched if needed but I prefer to cut my own, great product

MOst Useless Purchase of the Year
I have a tear in my Lay-z-Spa lid. It's a seam tear and many recommended a combination of the "Stormsure Glue" and a patch of the "Tuff Tape" to resolve the issue. Both the tap and glue are useless. I applied as per the instructions, waited 12 hours before inflating the lid only for the glue and tape to "unstick". I assumed I'd done something wrong so thoroughly read the instructions again, cleaned off the old patch and glue, cleaned down the area and tried again. 12 hours later, same result. I then bought some waterproof gorilla tape for a tenner which is a lot less in cost than the combo of glue and tape and so far (reaches to touch wood) I have managed to fix the issue. For waterproof products which claim to be the "go to" I was really disappointed in both and would have my money back if I could. Avoid.

Does what it says it will.
Does exactly what it says it will. I fixed a rip in my waterproofs work jacket. Fantastic.

Could be better adhesive
Tape is not very sticky and does not bind well to my jacket, recommend to try some else if you need a strong fix

How to Repair a Down Jacket with Tuff Tape (Without Losing Your Mind)
Step 1: Assess the Damage Take a deep breath. Inspect the hole in your beloved puffy jacket. If down feathers are dramatically escaping like a bad magic trick, gently push them back in. Resist the urge to make a wish. Step 2: Clean the Battlefield Wipe the area around the tear with a damp cloth and let it dry. If your jacket is still covered in adventure grime, this is your sign to wash it, but let’s be real, you probably won’t. Step 3: Cut the Tape Like a Pro Grab your Tuff Tape and cut a rounded patch slightly larger than the hole. Sharp corners will peel faster than your willpower during this repair. Try to keep it smooth unless you enjoy peeling tape off every few weeks. Step 4: The Fiddly Bit (Brace Yourself) Stick your patch to the back of some plastic tweezers. This will stop it from sticking to itself when you try to reverse-stick it inside the jacket. You’re going to have to go slow. Carefully maneuver the patch inside the jacket and position it over the hole. Once it’s in the perfect spot, gently peel the patch off the tweezers. Line the fabric edges together, and when you’re happy that the gap is closed up, commit to the stick and hope for the best. Mine came out fairly good, so fingers crossed for you. Step 5: Admire Your Handiwork Step back and admire your probably slightly wonky repair. Pat yourself on the back for being both a rugged adventurer and a skilled tailor. Step 6: Forget About It (Until the Next Tear) Let the tape set for a few hours, then go back to adventuring. Just know that in the grand saga of down jackets, another rip is inevitable, but at least now you’re a seasoned patching expert.

Okay, but...
I needed to patch two tiny splits on my wellies (four years old and worn every day) but I think the tape is not so good for my particular requirement as the both split are on parts of the wellies which bend while walking (ankles). It came off within a day. Probably better used on straight splits/tears which aren't going to be bent in use (tents, backs or fronts of jackets but not elbows etc). I'll use it for anything flat in future. I think the tape is of good quality and well made but sadly not up to the rigours of wellies which are in constant use tromping up and down hills etc. Would recommend for use otherwise.

I used this tape to mend small holes that have happened over the years in my 22 year old feather comforter. That was about a month ago. Last night I accidentally tore a large hole in the comforter and a large piece of the tape mended it. The next test will be to wash the comforter in a front loader in the coming weeks. My only complaint is that it can be a bit of a struggle getting the tape off of its plastic background. There's probably some secret to doing it, but I haven't figured it out.
