This has a texture similar to Vaseline, but soaks into your hair instantly. It has a great hold and gloss, and contains no chemicals that would impact color treated hair. The scent doesn't smell anything like sandalwood, but does have a very nice, light, citrus-like scent. I would definitely buy again!

This pomade comes in a lightweight plastic container with a plastic screw on cap. It’s easy to open and screw back on. The scent is really nice, it smells like like a fresh clean scent with a hint of cologne, at least to my nose but scents are subjective. When first scooping some up it feels like a hard wax and does get a bit more pliable when rubbing together. I found it works best for me when my hair is still damp since this pomade is water soluble. I found it too hard to work with on my dry hair. It almost feels sticky, and I can feel it in my hair now that it’s dry so personally it’s something I would wash out in the evening. Less is more for me when using. It combs through easy when hair is damp, helps keep the style, not too much shine, but has decent hold. Overall, while not something I would personally purchase in the future, I would still recommend if you don’t need a super good shine. From the date of my review, mine has an expiration date of July 2025, or 12 months after opening.
