I’ve been using them exclusively at indoor ranges. They work well. Have never felt the need to add earplugs underneath. Perhaps it’s just because I’ve never been to the range when someone is shooting their “hand cannon” .44 Magnum, Desert Eagle, etc. I do carry plugs in my range bag just in case I need to “plug and muff”.

Q: Can these be used at an indoor range as well as outdoor?

Absolutely. They work amazingly. Only thing I've found about the indoor range as compared to outdoor is that you can't hear others as well as outside because of the ventilation systems indoor ranges use. Not all indoor ranges are loud. However the one close to me is 7 lanes and I feel like I cant hear as well, but as far as noise canceling, these are fabulous at both indoor and outdoor. I've bought 3 pairs now since my son has permenty borrowed my 2 set. These are $60 locally but I've always found them on Amazon for under $40. They're worth it at $60 too.
