Back story (pun intended): I have ruptured discs in my lower back causing pain that I've been able to control without medical intervention for almost 10 years. Most days I was completely pain-free. Enter new job about 2 years ago where I sit and stare at a computer for more hours per day than I'd like to admit. I bought a great office chair and it's been nice, but fast forward to present day and I'm hurting... bad. I saw this chair months ago and thought to myself, "What a strange thing," and relegated it to an obscure wish list in the bowels of my Amazon account. My lower back started getting worse and worse, to the point where getting out of bed is difficult, the first few steps are agony, and sleep... well, sleeping has just sucked. A notification popped up recently for a "deal" on this chair-thing and I didn't buy it. More back pain and trying other things later... maybe it was fate, but more likely it was creepy AI and Alexa listening to me b*tch about how bad I've been hurting when another deal popped up for it. So, at this point, desperately looking for any sort of relief, I spent the $ and bought it. It arrived yesterday (a little too slow, in my opinion) and my boyfriend put it together for me today. He said I'd probably use it once and it would end up in an obscure corner in the bowels of my house, collecting dust. Let me tell y'all... like usual; he was wrong. I'm kidding; he's awesome, but he was wrong this time. This chair is like sitting on a REAL magical unicorn floating peacefully in the fountain of youth. After about 20 minutes of "sitting" in the chair, I noticed that (yes, my shins will have to acclimate) for the first time in almost 10 months, I was pain-free in my lower back. It's like a fairy snuck into my house, managed to evade torture, dismemberment, and violent death by my dogs and cats, and sprinkled some sparkle dust on me that made the pain disappear instantaneously. When I got up to walk around and look for the fairy, miraculously, there was no pain when walking. I didn't find a pile of sparkles yet, so the fairy must have escaped. The chair-thing is going to stay. It is lightweight, the construction is sound, the materials are good quality, and the padding is adequate... I have plenty of my own "padding," so others who are not so well-endowed on their backside may want to supplement with something else. If you're on the fence like I was, fall off and land on this thing. I truly hope it helps you as much and as quickly as it has helped me.

I was sore and tired and cranky after sitting in the same gaming chair for work all day. This thing changed my life - I have the room to move. My spine feels so much better! I also can just change positions a lot easier. The chair rocks, so I can get out extra energy when I feel restless. My one gripe is that I wish the bottom cushion (where your knees go) was a little bit thicker/cushier. It stopped feeling as bad over time, but I sometimes put a cushion there if it's not feeling good. My cat also loves this thing, for some reason. He sits on the top of it all the time and just spreads himself out over there and naps. I don't know why he loves it so much, but it's an added bonus to me just because it's hilarious to see him sitting at my work desk like a little office man (rather than walking all over my keyboard, which was what he previously preferred).

Due to back pain sitting at a computer all day at work, I debated on which kneeling chair to purchase. Thinking this was over $139 it was probably well made and constructed soundly. Also, I got the discounted "open box" version for $99. The box arrived severely punctured and taped up. The wood "curved legs" and the cushions are of good quality. The only thing that seems weird is the chair seems to sway side to side at every moment when getting settled in and lifting out. In looking at the engineering of this, I would have put two more perpendicular braces/boards going under the seat as well as half way from the top seat to the first brace already provided. I do feel safe sitting it but know I must pay attention to the ease of getting up/down this. My shins are still getting use to the new pressure. Based on other reviews, I was expecting this. I have another month to try this out and see how I like it and if it truly works. There were a few scratches and dents on the wooden areas. After much internal debate to return it due to the scratches and the side to side sway, I decided to keep it. I really want it to work because just in the first couple days of using it, my back is feeling so much better. (If I decide to return it after a few more weeks of use, I will be back to share on this review).

The seat is too hard and the wood chipped quickly. I would return but the return window closed too quickly. The chair rocks well but it isn't good for my back unless im.acyively rocking. I think the positioning just isn't the right size for me and doesn't adjust in the right way for me. And the chipping is disappointing because now I can't sell it used for much at all

Was pretty happy with this initially for the price. Reasonably comfortable and easy to put together. But after a couple months of very light use, several chunks have come off the finish. I don't even know how that is possible. It's not positioned where something could bang into it. The outer finish just... fell off.
