The headline sums it up. Haven't had it for long, so can't comment on the durability of the hose yet, but it looks as though it will be fine. The concept is so simple, but it does what it says. As others have suggested you can add a smallish cool block or two, but even without that, no condensation. Much of the dust/fibres that make it through the machine's filter end up in the water, but I have made a couple of small filters from fine material threaded through the vents to capture any escaping dust. So no condensation, no dust for a very small price! Excellent.

After reading the very mixed reviews, I was rather hesitant about getting this product, but am pleased I did! My outlet hose has a cross-shaped plastic end attached, so I cut this off (wasn’t sure how to attach the new hose to be honest, so preferred to leave the old one in place) and it easily fitted securely over the tabs on the box lid. I filled the box with water and froze it overnight. I then did four loads of drying in the kitchen, using top ups of frozen blocks of ice from plastic cups. Only towards the end did any condensation appear on my window - but I was also cooking by then, so not sure which caused it! There was no condensation on the cupboards immediately above the dryer. Also no bits of fluff flying around as reported by others. I’m very pleased as I can now get my drying done indoors without having to traipse in the rain to the garage ...and without bringing muddy shoes back into the kitchen! Glad I bought this.Now two months later, still happy, bought another as I cracked the rigid plastic on removing it from the freezer. Not sure if it was my fault or if the plastic is not suitable to freeze. So I now just leave the box out and fill with a little cold water and biggish blocks of ice from frozen plastic cups. Just as good, only need more cups in freezer now!

This condenser works very well on my white knight tumble dryer.The only issue was the parts didn’t fit into the outlet at the back of the machine where the hose goes. But, I was able to use the original hose that came with the dryer and so far it works well.I would recommend.

It's not as good as I expected.I have mine in the utility room and it still steams up the window even though I have the windows open.It wouldn't be any good in a small enclosed area as there would be an awful lot of condensation

When the weather is like it is (cold, wet and generally windy) the last thing I want to be doing is dangling a hose out of the back door to dry my stuff, and I don't really fancy having a humongous hole drilled in the wall for an external vent.This condenser box does exactly what it says it does, and it's dead easy to use - just put some cold water in the box and then (this bit is missing from the instructions) add a couple of freezer ice packs, the sort that you'd put in a cool box. Plug the business end into your dryer and off you go. The water in the steam from the dryer will condense on the ice packs and stop your kitchen from steaming up. Once you're finished, empty the condenser box down the sink, stick your ice packs back into the freezer for next time and job's a good'un,My only gripe is that the box has a partition down the middle - this makes adding larger ice packs a bit tricky, but not impossible. For best results, use the smaller packs (the ones that are 2-3" square) and stick a couple on each side of the partition. Threading the connectors on is an exercise in frustration too, although that's just a necessary evil rather than a fault with the product.Used correctly, this does the job and does it well and is a hell of a sight cheaper than a condensing dryer and/or having someone drill a hole in your outside wall to fit an external vent.

Don't bother buying this rubbish, despite following instructions to the letter it simply doesn't work. Whether you use just water, water with ice cubes or water with ice packs, the room just fills with condensation and leaves windows dripping.I'd give this zero if possible - it's that good!!!!Now I'm being asked for return postage - you must be joking. I'll never buy from these again!All previous orders I've had to return from Amazon Market Place suppliers have refunded return postage without hesitation. Lesson learnt.Don't waste your money.

Fitted to drier easily, no condensation in the kitchen now, compact size and arrived quickly, worth buying wish I had done it years ago. Happy days !!
