Jovan Musk Cologne Spray for Women, 59 ml

Hunting down classic aftershaves from back in the day, I decided to try Jovan Musk which is described as an aftershave/cologne. Born in 1973 this is described on the packaging as “Masculine. Powerful. Persuasive.”. So it is definitely from that era when its animal attraction was the main feature! And being orange in colour also gives it that 1970s vibe. Jovan Musk has a warm, lightly musky, spicy and slightly soapy scent. It smells good from the moment you open the bottle and it feels comfortable splashing it on after shaving, with very little in the way of stinging. Once on the skin that warm fresh smell remains for a while. It isn’t the longest lasting scent but the fragrance fades fairly quickly to a low level and stays that way for several hours. It really is quite pleasant and has a clean scent which it would be difficult to be offended by. I don’t have any significant feeling of nostalgia for this brand although I did see it on the shelves back in the 1980s. But sadly nobody ever bought it for me for Christmas so for me it has remained untried until I bought this bottle. I’m glad I’ve bought this. It’s not too musky but the warmth of the spice really brings a great fragrance at pretty good price.

Many years ago I use to use "yardley you're the fire musk". It is no longer made and I was doing research and came across this one. I was looking for a musk that would come close to yardley's smell as its no longer made. I tried this one and it's pretty close to the original Yardley fragrance. It has a beautiful sweet musk fragrance. It lasts just about all day and received a lot of compliments about it. I even know some women now buying it and this fragrance is a head turner. I was asked a number of times what I used and all were complimentary. I also drew some from the bottle and added it to a smaller spray bottle to carry around. This is a great quality product and amazon is probably the only retailer selling it at a reasonable price. Note that this is not a spray bottle but a bottle where you apply the aftershave to your hand. You only need a little as it goes a long way. Even weeks later you still get a smell from your clothes in your wardrobe. Fantastic fragrance.

First, this item was as described. My Mom has used Jovan Musk...Forever. I cannot get her to change to anything else. I have bought her Department store perfumes and nope, all she she wants is her Jovan Musk. So, I started searching around and I even showed her this page with the Jovan Musk and she said "Oh My, that's a great price I would love that". So, I purchased it for her. She has been using it for a bit of time and just loves it. There is nothing wrong with this perfume, this is coming from a what I consider a Senior Tenured Jovan Musk User. Lol. She said the scent is the same as others she has purchased at a local B&M store, and my Dad backs that statement up. My brother and I will do the same as it is "all she wears". She will have me purchase this product from Amazon again! (and again...).. So, 5 Stars on a good product "tried and true", a good price (at price depicted when purchased), and coming from a loyal user...My Mom. :) *****

Was a bit strong on first use but it’s grown on me. Learnt to use mild quantity after shaving and it’s been awesome. Not too out there and doesn’t slap people in the face 😊
