Can you still cast with these attached they wont fall off

I've not had one fall off. Make sure, before you cast, that the line hasn't gone slack and caught round it!

How do you get them to work?

Select the base with the size of clips that fit your rod. Clip the base , separately, onto the rod tip. Then screw the light and battery into the bas until it lights. This also tightens the base to the rod. This works for me.
