Great Light weight Dutch oven
I can’t believe I waited so long to buy this Round Dutch oven. At 7 quarts it is versatile for baking bread, & roasting vegetables & meats. Its interior enamel surface is easily cleaned, & it’s a great size for a family serving. It is light weight and conducts heat very well. Aesthetically it is a beautiful neutral color and finish. I Have used it for a month w/o any chipping nor cracks. It is well-made & a great value for the money.

Love, love, love these Merten and Storck pots!
Why didn't I know about this brand sooner? Move over Le Creuset, Merten and Storck is here. The pots are beautiful, they cook perfectly, and they come out clean and shiny. They are also much cheaper than Le Creuset and Staub, etc., but they are every bit as good, and they are also quite a bit lighter, which is a plus. I love them. I recommend them to all my friends and family.

Dream pot! Best Dutch oven I've found.
This cast iron Dutch oven cooking pot is actually better than a really expensive and heavy one. There is no reason why I would need or want a $400 pot when I can have this one, which is made in Germany, and of very good quality, and much lighter. Lighter doesn't mean cheaply made; the iron is harder than what other Dutch ovens are made of, and heats up faster. The enamel is thick and fused onto the iron, so it remains sealed from the liquid in the pot. Other Dutch ovens are just coated with enamel, so if it gets a chip or a scratch, it’s usually the beginning of the end, because liquid begins to seep in and separate the enamel from the cast iron. Not so with this pot. There are many cast iron Dutch ovens for sale that are heavy, but are still cheapies made in China, and many of them cost as much as this one. It also has a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The pot is so beautiful, I leave it out on my stovetop so I can look at it. I got the Azure Blue, 5.3 Quarts, a generous size for making quite a large quantity of food (unless you are cooking for a lot of people; then you might want the bigger one). I really love this pot and was so happy to have come across it, finally, after hours of searching online for a good quality Dutch oven at a reasonable price. It looks exactly like in the product photos here, so I didn't see any need to attach photos.

Quality product..
Why pay double or even triple the price for these Le Creuset pots??.. and save your back from their weight! So far, have used ours for slow and low cooking in the oven and the quality of the internal enamel coating makes clean-up a breeze. There's still weight to them and not being cast iron will cool when you want the pot to cool, not retaining the heat which can be become troublesome.. Overall, very happy and saved nearly half a mortgage payment! You won't be disappointed.

Cost has come down a lot!
A little over one year ago I paid $129.00 for this dutch oven. At the current price of $59.00, it is a steal of a deal! I had to go back to my old invoice to make sure it was true. I was looking for a larger cast iron dutch oven when I came across this one. I have back problems a had to get help taking my smaller 5.5 qt cast iron pot in and out of oven and was worried that a bigger, heavier one would be worse. The recipe I have calls to flip roast every 30 minutes, so that's lots of lifting. This dutch oven has solved the weight issue for me and it still makes a great pot roast. Yes, it is not as tough as cast iron so watch your stove top heat when browning meat. Clean- up is easy and saves on my back here too. I have used it at least 10 times so far and it still looks great, no chips. Bottom can slide on coil burners so care must be taken here when flipping heavy roasts. Would not go back to cast iron even though it's my favorite cookware, it's just too heavy for me now. This lighter dutch oven does the job for me.

You have to take care of it so it doesn’t chip
Very nice. Sturdy and beautiful like the picture. It is lighter in weight than a traditional Dutch oven. I’ve only used it twice so far. Easy to clean. Note that instructions say to not use metal utensils or you will damage the finish. So yeah chip resistant if you stick to wood and nylon type utensils.

Concerns about quality of enamel coating.
Received this Dutch oven pot today, clearly repackaged return from another Amazon customer. I haven’t used the pot yet, will update my review when I do. Pot has minor imperfections with enamel (underlying metal exposed) which raises concerns with the quality of the enamel coating overall. This may be purely cosmetic, but time will tell.
