Review After traveling
✿ Modern Fashionable Design ✿ Wheels move so smoothly ✿ TSA Friendly (Separate laptop compartment is a must) ✿ Passcode lock ensures safety ✿ New favorite I recently returned from a trip where I had the pleasure of using a 20-inch carry-on with four roller wheels and a separate laptop compartment, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. The four roller wheels provided an incredibly smooth and effortless glide, making navigating through busy airports a breeze. Even when faced with tight corners or uneven surfaces, the wheels maintained their stability and maneuverability. I never realized how much of a difference having four wheels could make until I experienced it firsthand. What truly set this carry-on apart was the dedicated laptop compartment. It offered the perfect blend of convenience and security. My laptop fit snugly and securely in its own padded compartment, providing peace of mind knowing that it was well-protected during travel. The separate compartment also made it incredibly easy to access my laptop during airport security checks without the need to dig through my other belongings. It saved me time and frustration, allowing me to quickly retrieve and store my laptop without any hassle. Despite its compact size, this carry-on had ample storage space for all my travel essentials. The cleverly designed compartments and pockets kept everything organized and easily accessible. I was impressed by the attention to detail in the interior layout, as it maximized the available space without compromising on functionality. The overall durability and quality of the carry-on were exceptional, as it withstood the rigors of travel without showing any signs of wear or tear. If you're in need of a reliable and versatile carry-on with the added convenience of a separate laptop compartment, I highly recommend investing in this 20-inch gem. It's a game-changer for any traveler seeking a seamless and organized travel experience.

GREAT and functional carry on
I’ve taken this 20-inch Hanke Grace expandable carry-on on three trips so far (two business hops to New York and a long weekend to Denver). Here’s why it earned a permanent spot in my overhead-bin arsenal: What impressed me: • Front “book-style” laptop door fits my 16″ MacBook (plus charger & tablet) without opening the main compartment. In flight, I could grab the laptop, work, and slide it back without needing to bring down my whole suitcase - what a great function and design! • Light but tough PC shell – 5.5 lb empty. After a rain-slick jet bridge and two curb-to-gate sprints, the case still looks showroom-new. • 41 L capacity, expands to ~51 L. I packed four days of clothes plus running shoes; the 2-inch zipper gusset swallowed the extra souvenirs on the way home (+ value). Minor drawbacks (and easy fixes): • The laptop hatch is shallow; if you over-stuff the main cavity the door fights back. Pack bulkiest items at the wheel end and it closes fine. • At full expansion it can get top-heavy; keep shoes at the base to stay upright. * Verdict * If you travel a few times a year you can get by with cheaper ABS cases—but frequent flyers who value organization, durability, and slick looks will appreciate what Hanke built here. After multiple gate agents, 4+ security scans, and countless sidewalk miles, I’m confident this suitcase will outlast the airline stickers on it. Would I buy it again? Absolutely—and I’m eyeing the 26″ checked size next.

Just what I was looking for!
I travel on business frequently and have an 18.5 inch (diagonally) and about a 16.5 inch (length wise) external screen for my laptop. I fly almost exclusively carry-on (I hate checking bags although I can for free due to my airline status). I wanted to find a carry-on bag that would have laptop compartments on the outside of the bag that I could easily access but that would also have adequate space to fit my laptop AND this oversized (larger than a laptop) external monitor while still not taking too much room from the interior of the bag so that I could pack the items I need inside. Also, it HAD to be a bag with an outside laptop compartment that opened like a BOOK. (If you've done research on these, most open like an oyster, for some reason meaning your inside luggage space is limited). I purchased the expandable carry-on, which means it has a zipper that lets me get about 2 more inches of space if needed. Also, the description says it fits a 15 inch laptop but this definitely can hold a 17 inch laptop (I tested it). It comfortably holds my work laptop, which is about 14 inches. It also holds my external monitor with no problems (photos are attached). Additionally, I was able to pack comfortably all the things I needed. With all of these items in it, it maneuvers VERY well! Of course, it was heavier but I was able to easily handle it with one hand. The downside is that it's off-white and after my first use, even as a carry-on, it has some scuffs and nicks. I'm definitely going to need to buy a luggage cover if this thing is to last with the volume of travel I do! Overall, it's a GREAT buy for what I needed. I no longer have to lug multiple items through the airport to accommodate for my equipment! My travel days are so much easier and lighter! Update: 10/22/23. I traveled with this bag for a 2nd time and unfortunately had to gate check it. When I got it back it looked like it'd been drug over the tarmac on its side. I checked and they now have several other colors in stock so I've ordered the dark blue. Looking forward to getting that one! I only ordered the white initially because it was the only color available in the expandable version and I needed something ASAP. I may give away this white one now to someone that doesn't care about scuffs.

No heavy laptop on my back while travelling!
I love this carryon. I've tried so many different duffle-style carryons or weekender bags and I hate having to carry all the heavy stuff in there. It really hurts my back. So this carryon with the laptop compartment is a godsend! It's amazing to travel light with my backpack, and keep all the tech in the wheeled carry-on. It's also pretty easy to access in the security line. Having the different zippers for the front laptop compartment and the main luggage opening has been super useful. And it locks easily. One concern I had was that there wouldn't be enough space for my clothes and luggage with the laptop compartment, and luckily this is able to extend. It may not hold as much as a regular wheelie carryon without the laptop compartment, but honestly the amount of weight off my back is well worth the few lesser things I can pack. It fits my laptop, portable monitor, and ipad, although with a slight bulge. Without the portable monitor it fits perfectly. The wheels work great too, and so far seems sturdy. Would definitely recommend!

Honestly in love with this suitcase
Purchased this as a carry on suitcase as I started traveling a lot (domestically) for work. I wanted something that was versitale and easy to navigate with and would stand up well on it's own without tipping over. I was also looking for something that would be easy to bring through security and remove my laptop/tablet from without having to dig around in a backpack and would be easy to access without having to open the entire suitcase. This not only nailed every checkbox but the more I travel with it, the more I love it. I have had to check and gate check this several times and while it obviously is going to get some scuffs on it being white, I have been very impressed with how well it has held up. It's easy to manipulate for overhead storage on flights, lightweight enough that I don't worry about navigating with it, and easily fits an extended weekend's worth of items (plus souveniers) without being over stuffed. I mainly travel with my 12.9" tablet, but will occasionally need to travel with my 15.6" laptop which it does fit in the front pocket but the velcro strap is pulled pretty tight to secure it. It can be difficult to use this for both my laptop AND tablet, as the front pocket is not deep enough to securely seat my tablet. It could probably handle a smaller one. Depending on how much you fill the front, you will lose space on the inside, so keep that in mind. The locks are easy to manipulate and changing the code was simple. Overall, I am so incredibly pleased with how easy I can now navigate the airport and fly with my items. Security has become a breeze. It is holding up incredibly well for being white, despite having to be checked and gate checked several times now and it rolls like butter. I was so impressed that I purchased a larger version to use for longer trips. I have navigated airports with 3 sets of luggage without oscillating wheels and not only was it a major pain in the rear end but I was actually bruised from handling them. These have made my flights SO much easier!!!

Nice Bag...Until it Breaks
I travel 3-4x a week, and really liked this bag...but then the zipper broke after 4 months. I could not (and still cannot) find Hanke customer service on the internet, so I called Amazon. They couldn't help either, and suggested I try the link on the product page. I did. Haven't heard anything in two weeks. Buy it if you want, but recognize that without any customer support, the warranty is worthless.

Loved the layout and smooth and quiet rollers !
Purchased this for my one week of vacation when it was on sale. Zipper and locks were smooth n simple to use and I liked it had inner zipper cover to seal the content and there’s separated pockets to put small things in front. I had to change hotels 3 times and Rollers worked great and very smooth and quiet moving hotels few times ! Compare to my family’s cheaper carry on, my rollers glide w minimal noise on roads , bumpy curves, inside airports and hotels ..and very easy to push it around!

It Has Unique Feature But Just OK
I bought this international size carry on principally because it has a front pocket that holds a laptop, tablet and other tech which is a super convenient feature that most affordable international-size carry-ons do not have. The wheels glide especially easy and the handle is narrow enough to slip another bag over easily. That said, the zipper has some issues I don't love. First, it doesn't zip especially easily and the pull tabs twist in a not-good way. Also the bag is narrow and unzipping between the wheels to open it fully isn't the easiest. This is also a very small bag compared to others which are thicker by two inches. But none of those have the convenient outside pocket so it's a trade-off. Really wanted to rave about this bag because it's a decent value and it looks very nice. I just find the zipper annoying and not quite enough room. I have a US carry on bag that is only an inch or two larger but doesn't have the front pocket and it holds much more. But the front pocket is so unique and so essential when traveling overseas through multiple airports and the wheels glide so smoothly even on carpet this bag is a good one to have.
