Theses are great shoes for a heavy guy. Very durable. I’m a maintenance tech and these handle everything I throw at them.

Stiff , I wear them everyday at work and still very stiff .they are starting to break down and separate at the souls .

If you are a over 225 lbs, the insole cusions are pretty worthless for warehouse concrete floors. I used two layers of gel inserts. They worked ok after that. The reason why it has 4 stars is because I do not like to tie my shoes tight. Because of this, my heel is slightly slipping out of the shoe and back in with most steps. The Merrill hates this. The cushioning behind each heal wore through before I could notice and next thing you know, tear out all together. Not a big difference in feeling, but for $100, reinforce behind the heel area that gets all of the traffic on the inside.I kicked pallets a lot for 2 months. They hold up well. I loved how light weight they are. I would recommend these if you tie your laces tighter than I do.

Sturdy, comfortable...and safe.

I really wanted to like these. I've been wearing Merrell hiking shoes and boots for years so when I saw these work shoes I had to get them. Unfortunately these are the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn, they hurt my feet from day one. I thought they just needed to be broken in but after wearing them for a few weeks and trying different inserts they never got better.
