Great product, it's not paint on the ceramic but a print and did not come with a box. Very unfortunate as it is meant to be a gift and will have to return it. It came in a bubble wrap and a usual amazon box :(

Sad to say first teapot arrived broken, new one sent and this arrived safely the only problem was having to send money to Australia to cover postagealthough the gift was well received would think twice before arranging gifts to Australia.
