I'm tired of most so called safety rulers designed for guiding cuts. Every one I have seen features marks that catch a knife blade and / or don't offer any real protection for your fingers. This one is vastly different. The edge is smooth and safe to cut against. And the flip up finger guard offers real protection. I feel confident in using this ruler for it's intended purpose. The soft grip on the underside is nice and ensures no slippage. The machining of the parts is impressive and clean. At currently £14.99 each, it might seem expensive for a ruler. But the design and quality of this ruler is certainly worth the cost in my opinion. I am honestly disappointed that I don't need to use it more often. As with any safety device, it is no substitute for safe practices. Use and enjoy with care.

Really good ruler, although it should be for the price. The safety feature works really well and inspires confidence when you're using it. I see this lasting for a long time, especially if it's not mistreated.

Excellent product

I do really like this ruler. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Seems very sturdy and the finish is pretty good. The cutting edge is excellent, much better than using a standard ruler. My only gripe with this is the price. At the time of purchase I paid £17.99 which I think is way too much. It's a great product for sure, but £13.99 max would be my suggestion. I would have purchased two of these at that price. This price was the only thing preventing me from giving this 5 stars. Also, is there a longer version of this ruler design? I'd be interested in that.

This is a very neat, well-designed product. The fold-up finger guard provides excellent protection when cutting, but when the finger guard is folded down again, you have something that can be used as an ordinary ruler for marking out and which is easy to store. Equally important is the non-slip insert in the base, which makes it easy to hold the ruler steady even on glossy surfaces. These two features together make using a craft knife to cut materials much safer. The clever hinge design looks very robust. Before I bought it, I was a bit concerned that because the ruler is aluminium, not steel, the edge might get nicked easily by a craft knife, but having got the product, I think the edge is thick enough to make the chance of damage low, without being so thick that measurement becomes more difficult.

Absolute game changer. Makes cutting leather safer and more accurate. Well worth the money and I'm glad I made the purchase. It protects my fingers and grips to surfaces well. No slippage when cutting. Absolutely awesome product.

Really pleased with this ruler. It’s sturdy and well made, with clear, accurate markings. The folding safety guard works well and makes cutting much safer and more controlled. It’s lightweight but doesn’t move around thanks to the slip-resistant backing, which is a big plus. The 30 cm size is perfect for A4 cutting, and it feels comfortable to handle without being bulky. Does exactly what it’s meant to do and feels reliable. Great quality for the price and ideal for craft or everyday use. Highly recommended.

Most modellers use a Swann and Morton scalpel and regularly change the blades to enable them to cut caxrd, etc by gentle strokes. By the same token and part of finger could be removed if the knife slips. The is ruler, with its fold up finger protector is exactly what I needed! I casn't recommend it enough.

Veramente robusto. Non scivola nemmeno su superfici lucide grazie al gommino presente per tutta la lunghezza. Offre la sicurezza di non tagliarsi le dita e di non rovinare il righello stesso. Molto soddisfatto e mi sento di consigliarlo.

This ruler is FANTASTIC....I'm a designer......art studio......yadda....yadda....yadda......so I know about art supplies.....I think I could build a room with the rulers I own.......so......THIS RULER.....is fantastic because of the safety guard that lifts up to protect your fingers......it is sturdy.....solid......a TANK IN the ruler world......even has rubber on the bottom to prevent it from slipping.....I'm telling you...people.....this is NOT your child's school ruler....it is manufactured with such detail......SO SOLID.....SOLID....SOLID....as the finger shield is its selling point.....so....if you want a fantastic ruler that shields your fingers from the dreaded xacto knife blade.........just BUY THIS.......i really am impressed with the WEIGHT and how sturdy it is......like i mentioned....IT IS SOLID......i had to find a solution to all the problems i was having when i would try to cut thru......some seriously thick....heavy.....cardstock......or cut thru a 10 mil laminated piece of art.....typically when you lay a ruler down on ANY slick surface...it moves like a Mexican jumping bean.......but.....TA DA......with this ruler....the straight edge does NOT MOVE.......AND.......which is the best part.......your fingers are PROTECTED from the knife's edge....I know it is "only a ruler"....but I'm just saying.......EVERY EVERY EVERY creative tool box and home needs this in their arsenal of treasures...!!!!!!!.....buy this PEOPLE....!!!!!!!!.....I think I'm in love.........with a ruler.......???????????????........HA...!!

Très bon produit. Facilite la découpe (protection des doigts). Le seul regret: que le marquage soit en relief, et non pas gravé, risque d'effacement. Le 0 aurait bien pu commencer aussi en début de règle...
