MÜHLE Classic, Large Black Silvertip Fibre Shaving Brush

Love it.... Bought it a few months ago and wanted to see how it performs over a period of time before reviewing.I was initially put of by the price, but other positive reviews elsewhere on the internet tipped the scales towards purchasing.Only the second brush I’ve owned the first being a cheap boar brush.... I found that brush to be too coarse and gave pre-shave irritation before face lathering, so began searching for a softer alternative.This is extremely soft and has allowed me to face lather without getting irritated skin before even shaving.Size wise it’s just about right for my needs and I think that the medium brush would have been too small.... In terms of size it also works nicely with the black Muhle porcelain bowl I bought for lathering.There’s also been next to no shedding, so I’m expecting the brush to last a good period of time.

This is an excellent shaving brush that really works up a lather with no effort at all. However I shouldn't have listened to the reviewers who said the large was like a medium. I'm not sure how large their faces are, but this large brush is definitely large. I wish I'd have gone for the medium so I could work up even more lather, but that's not the fault of the (brilliant) brush.

Effortlessly whips up a creamy lather in a couple of minutes without the hassle of presoaking the brush before hand and is an absolute breeze to clean after.

I have mixed feelings about this product - the synthetic bristles are nice and soft and lather well. However the brush is small - to label it as large is a joke: the medium size must be microscopic! Buy it if you wish to avoid real badger or are happy with a small but undoubtedly high quality brush.

When first purchase I was thrilled about how bushy and full the head felt. But over the following weeks I am far less impressed with how many bristles have fallen out and less full the brush feels.I store the brush hung to dry after each time it’s been used and it’s cleaned carefully.I really expected better from this brand.
