How thin is the spatula bit? I'm looking to replace one that's not even 2mm thick, so it's scrapes really close to the bowl, and gets into anything.

Hi - I'm away at the moment so can't actually measure it but has been my favourite spatula ever as it is thin and flexible. My original one came with my mixer and I have been trying to find something similar for years so was delighted to finds these on the internet. They definitely clear the bowl very well.

Is this made of silicone or hard plastic?

It seems to be made of a flexible plastic. Works very well at getting the mixing bowl clean, much better than a spoon.

is this product dish washer safe

I think these must be the Kenwood spatulas I bought some considerable time ago. I have cleaned them in the dishwasher innumerable times without any problem.
